Phillips Senso is a very good razor. The only drawback is the sideburn clipper is a bit awkward to use due to the extended razor assembly; but, other than this, the Senso is a very very good razor.
I have used Norelco shavers for over 30 years and thought this one would do the job. After using it for nearly two months I returned it to Costco today and bought the model AT880. I hope this workes better than the last one. It did not give me a good shave in the morning (even though I shaved for longer than previously) and had to shave again if I went out at night. Definitely DID NOT like the last one.
Purhased to replace my Smart Touch XL (9160XL) and by comparison the new 1250X: 1) Does not travel as well - soft bulky awkward shaped case that offers little protection and doesn't fit the shaver well - seems useless. I'll have to continue to use the 9160XL when traveling. 2) Can only be recharged in its stand. Hence, another awkward object to lug around and take counter space. The 1250X does not rest well on a flat surface. 3) Battery life noticibly less than my old 9160XL 4) Compared to the 9160XL, the trimmer is less convenient to use, is more difficult to control, and doesn't do as good a job.
On the positive side, the 1250X seems to give me a slightly closer shave in less time than the 9160XL
While I am not overjoyed with my razer, I do find it to be a very solid, functional product. The design is pretty good, but I do find that the heads snap off the body fairly easily.
Pros: floating heads provide close smooth shave
Cons: floating heads come off the razor body easily
