The shave is great, closer than I dare try to get with analog razors. The razor died around a year after purchase, but customer service had another at my doorstep before I even grew a 5 O'Clock shadow.
I have to shave for so long the rotary blades get hot, give me a rash & the razor scrapes my hair off & hurts. Side burn cutter too short

its quiet, and charges well...yet scrapes the hair off my face and has cut me and hurts when I shave. For the price a .10 cent single blade razor would do better for me
Pros: quiet, charges well, ornamental
Cons: long shaving creats hot blades, shaver scrapes hair off...not smooth, side burn cutter too short, bad shave
The one shortfall is that the charge cord cannot plug directly into the shaver. This means that to travel with the shaver one has to deal with the bulk of the charge stand. The BIG positive note about the 1250 shaver- I have yet to nick myself.
I have had various electric/re-chargable razors over the years and this one tops them all. It moves over your face as if it was personally designed for you. The charge lasts 2-3 weeks and when re-charging, its only a few hours. I put it on the charger when I finish shaving in the morning, and by lunch, it is fully charged.
I am 92 and have been using electric shavers for about 60 years. I switch to Norelco about 50 years ago. I have had several shavers and used a Norelco Reflex plus for about 10 years and thought it was OK. Then in 2008 I purchased a Philips-Norelco 8020 flexing heads and it is the best shaver I have ever used. It is waterproof. It has a reuseable container for Nevia shaving cream with a pump that squrts out the Nevia to the shaving head and it give the smoothies shave you can possible get. You do not need pre or after shave lotion. I just let water run thru the shaving heads to clean them. I have found no reason to take the heads apart for cleaning as the water does a great job. I replace all the heads which are in one unit every 1 to 2 years. Excellent. I would recommend this type of shavers to anyone. Thanks Philip-Norelco.
I have been using Phillips products for more than 25 years. Back then, shaving with an electric razor was (very often) a painful experience since there was more plucking than cutting. I decided to keep using and it was OK. Back then it was already ahead of its time compared to some other brands. Lately and for more than 10 years I was using the 6886XL until it couldn't take it anymore. I noticed that the shaving process improved a lot since my previous experience. I used to think it was a great performer. Now I can see (with the 1250X) how much the technology has advanced to the point that a weat shave will provide the same shaving quality as a razor blade.
