Always used blades to get a close shave and have tried electric razors before with little luck....but this is a great razor and the battery life is amazing.
Get this and your scruffy teenaged son will look sharp. It was the ONLY thing that worked for him (me) after many $$$ spent on fancy razors. My friend followed my lead and got one for her son, and she is thrilled also. The cost is worth every penny.
Well I have owned this razor for almost 3 years, in fact I wrote a review back in January of 2011 with just a few weeks of use. The razor works perfectly with the original set of blades, battery is excellent and the most important: shaves are flawless. This is a highly recommended product
I have almost exclusively used a Norelco for over 40 years.

Now that my fourth or fifth set of batteries are dying I thought it might be possible to upgrade and use the march of technology. If my face was flat and only flat this shaver did a nice job. You still had to pull the skin tight and swirl against the grain but the result was good. If I had a lot of time to dedicate to shaving in the morning or wanted to spend a lot of time this would be a good razzer. Sadly when it came time to do the upper lip or along the jaw there was too much hardware in the way. This caused the blades to be space further apart than a regular triple head and it looked like when my kids would mow the lawn. Strips of whiskers standing proudly in defiance of a lot of money spent. I did like the power this thing seemed to have. It would twist ever so slightly in your hand when powered up and it would be nice if Phillips could put that in one of the normal shavers they make. This thing with the big head on a stalk always worried me. When was it going to take a bite?
Pros: shaves flat areas smooth, feels powerful
Cons: only shaves flat areas smooth, the head seems fragile, the head is large when doing lips and corners
This is the first electric razor that delivers what I consider to be a great shave. Over the years I have tried three other electric razors each delivering poor to fair results. I bought the Senso Touch 3D as a tool to keep me somewhat presentable while I recuperated from neck surgery. I was so pleased with the results either dry or with a little shaving cream that this razor will become part of my daily routine.
