Learned a lesson: READ ALL THE SPECS

This is a decent printer/copier, BUT it does NOT have auto duplexing either for printing or copying. It only has MANUAL duplexing, we switched it to another office for use as a fax machine and secondary printer/copier.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

LCD isn't backlit

The LCD isn't backllit and I can't see the menu display at all- adjusted the contrast - still can't see it

Good value

This is my second all-in-one printer from Brother. It is very reliable and does what it is supposed to do everyday. I use it equally as printer, scanner and fax machine in my small one employee business. I can't think of anything more I could ask of this compact and useful office machine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Print-No Windows 8 Wireless Scanning

I chose the MFC 7860 DW because the website indicated that it was wireless compatible with Windows 8. I was disappointed to see that the printer connects wirelessly but not the scanner. Both the Brother and Microsoft websites are user unfriendly in trying to set up wireless scanning and to find correct scanner drivers. The print quality is great.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good, reliable printer.
One drawback - the toner cartridge is short lived, with limited printing, already on third cartridge.
I would recommend this to a friend!
