The printer, fax and copier work good.
However I hate the display screen, because it is not bright enough to read. I have to use a flashlight shinnin on the display to read it.

Tech support says I have it dialed in to the brightest display.
I probably would not buy another Brother printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

great printer

We've been using this printer for several months now and have been very, very happy with it. The print quality is excellent and it is FAST -- it's in another room and by the time I walk over there, it has already finished -- even multi-page documents. The manual feed is pretty fast as well -- sometimes I can't keep up with it. We use it for all of our black and white printing and a different printer for our color photo printing, so it's saving us a lot of money by not using up the expensive black ink from the inkjet printer. It is wired to our home network and can print from and scan onto our laptops using wi-fi from both Macs and PC's, so it's very convenient. The only suggestion I would have is for the toner cartridge that came with the printer to have had more toner, otherwise we have loved everything about this printer.

efficient but some set up confusion

could use less confusing manual, particularly with how to get software from apple and the fax options are confusing... once set up the machine is efficient and fast

Best Purchase Ever

In the past I have bought ink jet printers. I have 5 of those, 2 Lexmark's and 3 HP's. I had to replace ink cartridges often but with this printer I have not had to buy any ink toner as of yet and I print often with the type of work that I do. I bought this printer before Christmas 2012 and it is still printing very good. All features work very good. I am so glad that I bought this printer.It is not noisy and goes to sleep rather quickly and awakes quickly also. No misfeeding.

I have to say the machine works great...nice faxes, copies, scans, etc..There are minor things I do not like, for example, the display is dark, even when the brightness is on full, the menus are limited and it is a little loud; but it does get the job done

I use the individual paper feed for printing checks. I have 2 of theses printers and both do not feed straight. If I load check to the paper tray they work fine but almost never feed a single straight. I have owned other Brother MFC and they worked fine. Brother fell down on the job when designing this machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great home product. Very easy installed either by cable or wireless. I have only had it since January 2013 and I have no issues with it as of yet.

Great All-in-One Purchase

I am impresses how quickly this All-in-One scans and prints without pages sticking. The only thing I recommend is to buy the larger 450 toner cartridge when you need to replace the one that comes with this product or if you do a lot of printing buy the Brother Laser All-in-One.
