Excellent sound in a small footprint

LOVE these little gems! They have the wonderful JBL sound I've known to love (have them on my stereo system too). I had originally purchased a pair of Bose speakers (at $100) and I was really disappointed with the sound. When I saw JBL made computer speakers, I was in. They are a great price point. USB powered and I don't get any feedback or noise interference issues with all the cords I have sitting around them (I did with the Bose!). The small footprint is really appreciated too. Finally - I love their funky little shape! Thanks JBL!!

Awesome computer speakers!!

I bought black ones from a third party since you can't get them anymore from JBL and like everyone else mentioned already, they sound great for their size. But what I like the best about them is the fact that they take up so little desk space!

Hard to beat value and quality for this size

Have been using my pebbles going on 2 years now, and still really appreciate them.
As mentioned on another review, for an office they work flawlessly and take up very little space on the desk (can stack them too if space is tight).
Modern design, great sound quality for size, no flaws or problems, easy usability..worth the money.

Great looks, Amazing sound

I am super impressed by these speakers. I love how easy they are to hook up and I like how they look (the orange is cool!). But more than anything I love how they sound.
There are louder speakers out there for sure, and some with heavier bass, but these speakers have a rich, full, warm sound that makes music sound heavenly. They are especially good with vocals and acoustic music.

These speakers look and sound better than my coworkers think should be legal in an office setting. I especially like that one USB cable takes care of both power and audio signal (less desk clutter) and that Windows 7 instantly recognized the speakers. True plug & play!

Powerful Surround

The highs are the best part of these speakers combined with the left and right surround. The left and right separation can be a big difference in low budget speakers. When you have the speakers sitting on your sides in front of your computer voices and music can really disappear into your screen with the separation. I've got the white and they look real nice next to my macbook. The low end kind of suffers and so does the mid but you can lay the speakers on their side and it will improve the frequency response, that is if they are set on a solid surface. But at the same time when you lay them on their side the highs suffer. I only give them a 4 star because you can buy the JBL Creature III for about the same price and their lows are premium with equivalent highs but it isn't exactly as portable as the pebbles. For a 5v USB pair of speakers they have more than enough power. And of course being USB powered, your battery will be drawing a little more power obviously. Not a big power consumption but it's something to be aware of. Quality build and feel. Overall pretty good product. Worth the portability and surround at the same time.

Outstanding speakers!

I've purchased two sets of these Pebbles and they are outstanding. I don't think you should give up on them so easily because they are so good. I've been a stereo guy for over 50 years and these, with my Advents, other JBL's, BiC Venturi, Kenwoods, and Altec Lansings. only come in second to Magneplanars. They are that good. The design is worthy of being made into a much larger bookshelf or floor speaker because of the way they distribute the sound. They match the JBL 100 Century speakers you used to make. At least, try to make a pair like that and see if you have the same success. I don't need any more speakers but if you made a big edition, I'd buy them.
