Good freezer design; storage bins need improvements

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this refrigerator for almost two weeks now. The freezer design is very nice: I can see everything in it when I open the drawer and get to the contents easily. The icemaker produces ice very quickly. The refrigerator interior is spacious, but the storage bin design is diappointing. The fruit and vegetable bins fall out of track easily when opened. The bottom drawer cover comes off easily with normal use. The door bins that came with the unit did not include a butter/dairy bin with a cover. I'll adjust to the bins, but I do wish that the designs would be adjusted to address these problems. The bin design is enough of a hassle that I cannot recommend this model to friends. If Whirlpool issues an upgrade to the design, I'll reconsider that recommendation.

GREAT FRIDGE - BEST I'VE EVER OWNED

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a side by side fridge made by ________________and it was a nightmare. Either the fridge worked or the freezer but not usually at the same time. We tried to get the problems resolved but to no avail. It had one light in the fridge at the top and it burnt a hole right thru the plastic ceiling to the fridge so we took the bulb out, took pictures and sent the to the manufacturer who refused to do anything - response - "sorry" can't help you. Nice so we did some research and Whirlpool got a really good rating - we purchased it from a local appliance store, paid for the extra warranty, got it the next day. We tried several other local stores and not one of them could get us any fridge for 30 days??? So we bought it from the little Appliance store locally, got excellent help, very polite, very helpful, did not pressure us but let us decide. We ordered it the next day and the following day it was delivered lst thing in the morning. The gentleman that delivered it treated our home as it if was his home - was very careful taking the old one out and bringing the new one in. We had no complaints about the purchase or service at all. We love the fridge, its very quiet, makes ice fast, have so much room in the freezer I love it. The fridge itself has a ton of room and there is great lighting in the fridge. Wish we had bought a fridge like this 10 years ago when we purchased the other lemon. VERY VERY HAPPY with this fridge and would recommend it to everyone.

So far so good! Except for an odd smell coming from the back

I have been waiting to do a review until I have had the fridge for a few months so I can really give an accurate review. The fridge is great. It keeps the food cool and the freezer keeps everything frozen. The space is amazing and the pull out freezer is like having a mini chest freezer and I love it.Pros: Space in fridge and freezerConvenience of having a bottom, slide out freezerSoda holder in fridge is AWESOME!Ice maker is handyVery sleek designShelves are movableCan fit huge, wide trays of food in fridgeCons: Odd smell (like old feet) coming from the back of the fridgeWish the freezer was a little bit biggerThe drawers come off the track too easily when I pull them out to put items insideThe only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I bought this brand new and the smell, while not unbearable, still drives me nuts sometimes. I have no idea what this could be. I have pulled it out, cleaned under it (the same week I got it) and sometimes it smells like maybe a mouse got back there and died but just not as intense.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love lots of space

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced a 10 year old top freezer that had been acting up for months. Few options in this width. Ice maker makes plenty and recovers quickly. More space than I ever thought it would have and French door proving to be convenient. Perfect version would include water dispenser but we gave up on that for all other good features including excellent floor model price!

Great refrigerator!

I bought this fridge after returning another brand refrigerator. We love this fridge. It is bog enough for me and my family. The only thing I would like to see maybe added to it, is shocks on the doors. They are very heavy and they tend to slam when opening them. All in all a great refrigerator.
