Hoping for Quality

Bought this refrigerator to replace the prior model that failed 3 years after purchase. Although Whirlpool was only marginally helpful in the replacement process, I liked the original refrigerator enough to try again. I hope the quality has improved enough in this model to last more than 3 years.

Practical & Simple

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator is the right size for space we have. The quality of the baskets & shelving are okay, but they are not very high quality. The icemaker works very well. This frig does not have any filtering system for the water supply. We had to install a inline water filter, which was fairly simple, but added to the space needed to allow room for the filter. We got a fairly good price on this frig. We just hope this refrigerator lasts longer than the one we replaced. The frig we replaced only lasted five years, and they quit making the evaporator for it. I hope if we ever have to replace anything on this new frig, that they still have the part or parts needed for the replacement. I would recommend this frig, but people need to understand this frig does not have all the bells & whistles, but because of that we hope it will last longer.

Love the features

We have had our refrigerator for about two months and I'm still just as excited as the first day it came. We chose the black one because it matched the appliances existing. Not only does it look stunning in the kitchen, but it's features help keep everything cool and in the right place. I have a very busy family and this appliance gets a "work-out" everyday. The smaller compartments help keep things in order. Also having the freezer on the bottom and refrigerator on top works out better visually. I'm glad we made this chose.

I FEEL SO HAPPY WITH MY NEW ACQUISITION I THINK IS THE BEST DECISION I EVER TOOK, MY VEGETALES SEEINGS LIKE TO BE ALWAYS FRESH AND THE ICE MAKER WORKS GREAT!!! I REALLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

Not my grandmother's refrigerator!

The last time I used a refrigerator with the freezer compartment on the bottom was 1962. So when we looked at what we needed we decided the whirlpool French door unit was perfect for use in our kitchen. Veggies and fruits are used right away because they are not near the floor and in the back of anything. Deli items are in the slide-out drawer for easy access. Frozen items appear without effort in the dual rolling baskets at the bottom of the pullout drawer. It is indeed a pleasure to open the fridge and have easy access to everything especially with my arthritis. A good refrigerator makes people happy!
