Love It!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always wanted a French Door refrigerator. So when we started to do some remodeling of the house I said that I wanted one. Well of course my husband grumped on the idea, but I got my way. Now he is ecstatic about this refrigerator. It is what I wanted and more.

Great replacement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator about a month ago and so far am extremely happy with my purchase. I chose the black exterior, french door because I wanted a new look for a kitchen that I am renovating. In the refrigerator section the multiple compartments separate the fruits and vegetables so that it's easy to see what I want. There's plenty of shelf space for jars and bottles. There are compartments in the freezer also so meats and veggies are separated for an easy sightline. My kitchen is small and open to the dining and family areas and I appreciate how quietly the refrigerator operates.

Bad Experience

Actually replaced gone bad Kitchen Aid purchase but in second day all our food had to be thrown out. Evidently we had some bad luck with brand new back to back refrigerators. This purchase had a breach in the sealed system. Couldn't believe it as Kitchen Aid had a bad compressor. Whirlpool should be thankful to our retailer as they allowed us to go back to our original purchase of another new Kitchen Aid, that thankfully works great now. Couldn't believe this Whirlpool. Our first refrigerator from them lasted over 22 years and was still going when we saw it taken away.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wonderful French Door Refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We thoroughly are enjoying our new French Door Refrigerator. Bright lighting, easily accessible freeze, which readily provides us with abundant ice cubes, and upper unit which has easily adjustable shelves. Fruits and vegetable keep very well in their drawers and the slide out door is perfect for eggs, lunchmeat and cheese. A definite keeper!

Design Errors

I was startled to find that the refrigerator did not include the usual butter/cheese compartments in the door that allows the top most portion of the door storage to be useable. The paperwork that came with the unit stipulates that some parts may need to be ordered separately. No problem I thought.Unfortunately, Whirlpool has informed me that even though a butter/cheese bin is clearly illustrated in their print materials, they do not even make one for this refrigerator.Also, the slotted rails from which the refrigerator shelves hang are missing a slot allowing use of the bottom most position.To get the full use of the refrigerator I will be altering these items: cutting slots in the shelf support rails, cutting out the front walls of the door bins or 3D printing a butter bin with doors.By the way, the compressor is easily twice as loud as the similar GE Bottom Freezer model that served us so well for 19 years.Whirlpool, if you are reading this, I feel my trust as a consumer has been betrayed by your poor attention to details that matter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the fridge, but the space between the deli drawer and main shelf can make it easy to not see the things on the shelf. Have to make sure doors are closed as the left side needs to close first

Freezer working - fridge not cooling

Unit arrived Thursday night, had it brought in and installed by the company I purchased it thru. On Friday morning the fridge was not as cool as I had expected it to be, so I just assumed it needed a little more time to get to the proper temp. I purchased some perishables and placed some items in the fridge. I was away for the next day and a half......and returned home to find that the fridge never got cold. Freezer works great and I have plenty of ice. Called whirlpool first thing Monday. The first service call I was offered was Saturday; I almost lost it. I said that was unacceptable and the woman came back with a Tuesday appointment, which is still not satisfactory. I inquired about the food I lost and was told that I had no recourse. Never had I expected a brand new unit to not work. I am very dissatisfied with the lack of urgency to correct this problem.
