Second Advantium

This is our second Advantium, as our first died after 13 years. This is SO much more than a microwave. Once an owner truly learns how to utilize it's numerous features, they can't be without one.

Loud oven

Oven is very loud when operating. Expensive oven but outside looks cheap.

Much More than a Microwave Oven

The GE Profile Advantium Oven is so much MORE than a Microwave Oven. It is a baking and convection oven as well! Our home has an open concept kitchen, which we love. However, it provides limited wall space for things like refrigerators, built in ovens, etc. So, with limited space we were not able to configure built in double ovens (like we had always had in prior homes) AND a built in microwave. This beautiful GE Profile Advantium oven was THE PERFECT answer for us. It works beautifully; is easy to use; serves as an oven when we need it, functions most of the time as a microwave, and saves space all at the same time. We are delighted to have found it. Highly recommend.

Disappointed in replacement

This is my second GE Profile Advantium. First, it arrived with only black shiny bottom trim pieces vs stainless to match (note, no pictures of this oven show black trim on bottom). Second, since I was unable to see this on showroom floor I didn’t realize it wouldn’t match my new Profile oven (new oven window etc has been squared where Advantium has not - I’m guessing I bought before Advantium’s pending update?). Third, since the Advantium was a replacement (control screen died on old one) I was surprised that new oven doesn’t cook as quickly as old one. It takes longer to microwave my breakfast that I’ve been eating for years.
My appliance dealer has ordered a new trim piece but the fact it doesn’t match my new oven and cooks slower than old one is going to bug me. Bitter pill since these are SO expensive!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
