No more vent cleaning, use less juice!

It dries the clothes, that is what counts. It takes a little longer on full Eco mode but the energy savings should easily make that worth it. The only negative I have experienced is the slight "whine" it makes and the humidity it adds to the room. But I keep the laundry room door closed to keep the kitchen quieter so that probably exacerbates the humidity situation. Most of the year I can have the door to the garage open and that will let the humidity out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you like saving energy with the same results, this dryer is for you. England has had these for years. Now America finally has them. I've been waiting for years. Uses 1/3 the energy of a regular vented dryer. No vent needed with this dryer. We love it!

Heat Pump Dryer

We purchased a HybridCare? Ventless Duet® Dryer with Heat Pump Technology about a month ago. Our purchase was based on the desire to alleviate the long dryer run we have in our home (a vent fan was undesirable). If you are looking for a very economical to run, full sized machine with absolutely no need for venting this model is superb.

This dryer is great and it takes care of your clothes. The slow drying process keeps my clothes looking new. The savings in electricity is even greater!

I have used the dryer less than a month but so far it work like any other .It does use a lot less energy and it because it is ventless placing the dryer is easier in the washroom.

Black grease on towels first time used

The very first load I dried with this heat pump dryer ruined my white towels. I removed them from the dryer and they have black grease marks on them. I wiped the inside of the dryer with a white rag and found the grease at the back of the drum along the seam where the brush and metal drum meet. I cleaned it off completely, dried a load of jeans and then checked for grease. Yes, more grease inside the dryer. I called Whirlpool and set up service. I'm feeling pretty awful about this purchase, the upcoming service two weeks away and getting resolution.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Exactly what we needed!

We have our new ventless dryer for almost a month now and LOVE it! It solves a venting issue for our home, and has been the perfect solution. Standard vent dryers were taking 2+ hour for a load of clothes to dry, but with the ventless dryer we are averaging 30-45 minutes. We could not be happier, and hope the technology stays around forever!
