Good performance, some problems

When it was installed the oven could not be used. The convection fan would not stop running. After it was repaired the oven door had to be repaired because it was sliding up when closed. GE repair fixed the problems . It cooks well but the initial problems were disconcerting.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Oven

We have had this oven for 3 1/2 years and although it has worked just fine all these years, today the control board (or keyboard) decided to go out. The cost...$332 for the part and another $250.00 for the trip and labor.
Can not understand this kind of failure on a 3 year old appliance.

many useful settings. for baking and rosting. fast warm-up. probe cooking with exellent results - consistently. Broiling - exellent. The WI FI remote settings a bit cumbersome & slow.

A great wall oven with meager instructions

I did a lot of research on appliances when I renovated my kitchen. I chose the GE Profile PT9050SFSS because of the great reviews and its appearance. The performance of this oven is great. The ability to figure out how the various features on the oven work is difficult because GE assumes you've used their ovens (and therefore the controls before)! That's not the case. The different cooking modes are not clearly documented and the methods to use each of these modes is non-existent! I would really have liked to have know these differences prior to using the oven that having to go through a trial and error method of discovery!

Even Baking, Looks Beautiful

I am very happy to have purchased this single wall oven. I have baked cookies, cakes and pies using both the traditional bake settings and the convection settings and am very pleased with the results. All 24 cookies came out of the oven exactly the same! I read previous reviews related to the fan running for a long time after the oven had been turned off. I had an older model GE wall oven which did the same thing so we were not surprised that the fan ran until the oven cooled down. Really like the self-cleaning racks and the lighting at different levels of the oven. Because our oven is located under a cooktop, I very much appreciate the sturdiness of the full extension rack. I bake a lot of pies that require two different Bake temps and it is very cool to have the ability to operate the oven remotely so that I can be working in the garden and not have to run in the house after 20 minutes to lower the oven temp.

SIGNIFICANT DECLINE IN QUALITY

This was a replacement oven for the 15-year-old GE Profile. We were thinking that we'll go for another 15 years or so. However, the quality of steel and paint on this new oven is much lower quality than 15 years ago. The inner chamber paint was damaged within the first 3 month of use. We DO follow instructions for use and care. The design is also inferior to the previous unit. The damaged floor is an integral component of the oven, so all oven needed to be replaced, which was done after letter to GE CEO. They did it, and stood behind their product! Very commendable.

GE Profile Oven

We bought this oven to replace our previous GE and it is wonderful. I love that you can either use conventional or convection baking. It heats up quickly and bakes evenly.
