LOTS of Room in the Refrigerator !

This is a wonderfully roomy refrigerator - only 2 inches larger on the outside, but SO much more room on the inside ! Keeps Produce fresher than any I have ever had. Shelving is convenient and easy to change when needed. Freezer is amazingly easy to get into and rearrange. Love this one !

The design is well thought out and the features makes this a good buy. Somewhat noisy when making ice, but otherwise it's a quiet unit. A drawback is the ice maker dispenser does not always seal properly causing ice build up around the ice bucket. In all I would not hesitate to buy another Unit form Whirlpool.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent Fridge

We bought this last September and it has proved to be a good purchase. I like the versatility of the shelves, the easy access to the filter, the LED theater lighting is a cool feature. I finally had a need to use the Fast Ice feature and it worked well. The only small complaint I have is that the fan is a little noisy at times. I wanted another Whirlpool because I have been extremely satisfied with my old Whirlpool fridge. The only reason we bought a new one is we upgraded to Stainless appliances. I still have the old one in the garage and it's still going strong after 12 years.

Whirlpool products not what they used to be

I am hard pressed to give this "cavernous" Whirlpool fridge more than an average rating. For the price paid it should be a whole lot better equipped than it actually is. The compressor and motor do get quite noisy when it kicks in, again, for a top notch unit that is a no-no. It is a no frills unit as far as the latest bells and whistle you see on many other models in a similar price range. No vegetable crisper or moisture control and so on. It appears like Whirlpool traded off the big size over the "fancier" freatures to keep the price in check. It does have LED illumination which lights up the unit's interior nicely, however all the lights are in the front so the back is not so brightly lit. As far as cooling goes, it either is too cold or not cold enough. If set at 37 degrees as the manual suggests some items start to freeze, if set below that then water, milk and juices do not feel as cold. The ice and water dispenser on the freezer door is a complete fiasco as far as I am concerned. The water nozzle sits way out in front so more often than not water spills all over the place. I have also noticed a bit of frost forming around the interior ice maker sides and freezer shelves. The ice cubes from the ice maker are real small, but we actually learned to like them that way, it almost eliminates the need to use the crushed ice feature. The ice maker so far does produce ice in sufficient and steady quantity. My wife does love the tremendous amount of interior space in both the freezer and fridge compartments as compared to our previous (non Whirlpool) counter depth fridge which came with our newly built home 6 years ago, that one she still hates to this day. Only time will tell how good this unit turns out to be. Our last Whirpool fridge was over 15 years old and still going strong when we sold our house way back then. Something tells this new one is not going to be that kind of performer. But then again, everything nowadays feel and seem to be "disposable" after just a few years of service.

Very nice frig. Got it in Aug 2013. So far very happy with it. Stainless Stell make it look clean. However, finger print on it very easy.

Good, But Could be Better

I have had this refrigerator a week now and happy overall with it:Likes:* Plenty of storage capacity* Handle design feels great in your hand, no seams in the handle like the GE.* LED lighting inside, and gradually brightens after door is opened* Stainless Steel - exterior seems durableDislikes* Compressor has a buzzy noise quality to it that I don't care for. It's overall quieter than my old frig but it still bothers me somewhat. I am hoping I get use to it over time.* Ice/Bev Dispenser - has a cheap black plastic catch tray for extra water/ice. The Whirlpool 26 cu. ft.. Smart Frig. has a much nicer Stainless Tray. Would like to be able to upgrade my catch tray to SS somehow through an accessory part. Also the Ice/Bev dispenser has a white LED, their Smart Frig has a blue LED which looks cooler. I don't ever expect to use the smart controls of the 26 cu. ft. frig but I really liked the small styling details it offered but in the end the larger 30 cu. ft. capacity won out over design.* Ice/Bev - only has one dispenser port so you have to hit a button if you want ice or water. I would rather pay the extra $50 and have two ports if I could design my own ice maker.

I bought this a couple months ago amd it cools and freezes perfectly. The ice maker is a little loud when it cycles, but it's not a huge problem.
