The Quiet is Wonderful

Most pleased with the drying time and pushbutton features. The old dryer had belts going out and screamed with every turn. This dryer is so quiet that we have to go see if it is still running! The steam feature is wonderful for erasing wrinkles.

Good product sensor issues

We love the dryer but the sensor has a tendency to turn the dryer off when it senses that part of the load is dry so we have to turn it to timed dry to disable the sensor to get thing dry. I say I would recommend this to a friend but it would be with an explanation

I adore my new dryer. It is so much quicker than my old one even on the lowest heat setting! It is quiet and the settings let you pick just the right temperature for your needs. Love the steam setting ( goodbye iron) and thewrinkle shield. I already see the difference in my electric bill. Thank you Whirlpool!

We really like the large capacity on this dryer (easily able to hold a large comforter) and the numerous features, particularly the sanitize function and steam functions, plus the internal LED within the dryer drum, which lights up the interior of the machine and is a really delightful feature. The machine is rather quiet and doesn't bother us at all, even standing right next to it, but it is not as quiet as some top-end models we'd seen. It also seems to warm up the room somewhat when it is in use, despite our having a very short connection to the exterior vent; it's not a problem in the winter, but we wonder if it cuts into our home's total energy efficiency, particularly in the summer. Unfortunately the button noises and cycle alerts are quite annoying, which was disappointing since a relative has a very similar model whose sounds are similar but much less grating; the very first thing we did was turn off the sound completely. We love that the door is reversible, and we wish the accompanying washer had the same flexibility. The sensing function is nice and automatically adjusts drying time, but we find that thicker fabrics (e.g. jeans) and fabrics that tend to ball up or have interior areas (e.g. sheets and dryer bags) sometimes come out slightly damp using the default settings, but better that they are slightly "under-dry" than "over-dry," particularly with some delicate fabrics, and a few extra minutes or a simple settings adjustment solves the problem. The door's exterior frame is plastic, not metal, although the chrome finish is nicely done and seems durable. The "buttons" are actually a touch-sensitive flat panel, and occasionally one of them gets pressed inadvertently as laundry is being loaded or unloaded (e.g., the "lock controls" button often gets pressed inadvertently, preventing us from using the machine until we "unlock" it by holding the button for three seconds). For the price, we think it's a decent value dryer, and the limitations aren't such that we regret the purchase.

I bought this dryer along with the matching washer and could not be more satisfied with my purchase. Not only are they packed with useful features, they are extremely quiet.
