Good Quality

Nice dryer, good lint screen, dries clothes fast and the steam wrinkle release cycle is excellent if you forget to take the clothes out of the dryer right away.It's quiet, but not much quieter than the average dryer. The only other con I could possibly mention is that the controls are sensitive and easy to brush against if you reach for something on a shelf or in a cabinet over the dryer... I mentioned the same thing about the washer.

Excellent cleaning ability

When our Duet steam front loader was first delivered, I thought someone had mistakenly dropped off a spaceship in my laundry room! It's the first washing machine I've ever owned where the instruction manual was a MUST read. I bought this unit online based on Consumer Reports, customer reviews, and its eligibility for a water-saving rebate from my local utility. I was intimidated at first by all the features and options, but I quickly mastered them and now I use every single one. This unit isn't cheap but I consider it to be a very worthwhile investment.Down to business: This thing can really CLEAN! The 7.4 CF capacity swallows big loads with ease, and the sanitize feature comes in really handy with child or pet messes. I used to use stain treatments by the gallon with my old washer, but now my Duet handles every load with nothing more than HE detergent. Based on my recent experience, as I retire my other old appliances, I'll probably replace them with Whirlpools.

Am not impressed

With lots of bells and whistles, this machine is not that easy to operate. There are very few ways to self control it plus there does not seem to be any sensor timing which is what I mainly used in my last dryer. It has a moisture control so that you can add dampness for wrinkles, but the store failed to inform me that there is a different set up for this with additional hoses needed. I will do this at a latee time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Finally a king size washer!!

We bought this washer to replace our old set and my only request was to get one that was big enough for a king size comforter. The size of the drum is amazing and easily fits a king size comforter and fully washes it in 1 washing. I'm amazed by the quality and functionality of this washer!
