another Duet for us

This is our 2nd pair of Duet washer/dryers. The features and simplicity of design and function are what made the decision easy for us. And, the features have improved since our first pair - no more water sitting in the washer becoming musty like was common with front-loading washers a few years ago. I even like the lint trap in the dryer better. Only negative is that the warranty is much shorter. But, because the quality is so good, I really don't worry about that.

Great washer. Wish they had the option of buying the pair with door opening other way. Also wish the dryer had a hamper door. Great washer. Love that the clothes are almost dry when they are done.

Excellent quiet washer with easy controls

Extremely quiet washer compared with our 15 year old Kenmore that it replaces. Cleans well, the spinning cycle wrings out almost all moisture to make it easy for the dryer. User controls are easy to use, self explanatory. Have owned it for a month and used it over 10 times with different kinds of loads from bedding's, towels, clothes of different materials. Everything comes out really clean. On a bonus note there is a energy rebate from our local utility provider.I would highly recommend this unit.

Great Product

This purchase was made because of needing a replacement for my old brand "X" machine, I listened to my appliance repair person and selected the Whirlpool and I couldn't be happier. Much quieter than the old, has not shook, shimmied or moved from the spot that it was installed on and the many additional features are outstanding...thanks Whirlpool for a fabulous product.

Absolutely Horrible

Bought in 2014Followed the maintenance and cleaning instructions by inspecting and cleaning door , tub and seal , spin basket and kept the door open after every load to prevent mildew. Once a month it was cleaned with Afresh.After one year of good performance the unit started leaking with a properly balanced load and correct cycle. I couldn't find the source of the leak and no error codes were present. I hadn't had any issues until last week when on final spin I was awakened to what sounded like an airplane was crashing down . My laundry room , garage and some parts of the hallway was flooded. After inspecting the unit i noticed the water was coming from the front of the unit. I pulled the rubber boot back and found a 3/4 inch wide crack starting on top front right section of the plastic hub. Only 3 years and I have to dish out 650.00 for a new tub assembly . I should have bought the extended service plan.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
