Very pleased after 4 months....great machine

Purchased this washer about 4 months ago and we have been very pleased so far. Clothes come out clean and smelling very fresh. Our water bill has actually gone down a couple of dollars a month, but more importantly energy usage is down since the clothes come out nearly dry from the high-speed spin...drying time is drastically reduced. We are also able to wash larger loads than with our previous washer, which is great. Plenty of great features on this machine - 11 cycles, a steam option, tumble fresh, delay wash - and Whirlpool quality.

Super quiet. Uses MUCH less water than the previous washer I had. Can't even tell it's running. Clothes come out cleaner than before. Plenty of configurations to accommodate any type of clothes that you have.

The machine is built very sturdy; it's features are easy to use and easy to understand. It's eco-friendly and efficient so there's no waste of laundry detergent. The audible tones are a great added feature which notifies you when your laundry is finished. The spin options allow for shorter time drying. The best feature of all is the "steam" button, which gets my clothes especially clean.

Everything about this is wonderful: ultra quiet, gentle on clothes, large capacity, cleans as well in cold water as in warm, uses far less water, super easy to use.

Great Features & Cleans Clothes Excellently

I was a bit intimidated at first with all the features as this is my first HE washer but found it was very user friendly. Washes the great & was everything I expected. The only thing I don't like is it takes a long time to wash & you have to make sure that you clean it at least once a month. I also wipe down the seal, door, & soap dispenser after each use to avoid mold as I was told HE front loader washers are susceptible to getting & then your clothes will smell.

I bought my washer about 6 months ago and so far I am very happy with it !I have not had any of the problems I have read about. I keep the door open when not in use because I read someone say theirs had a smell. my fabric softener slot sometimes fill with water I just pull the whole tray out and empty it before starting the wash

I purchased my first Whirlpool in 1975. It worked fine until January 2013, it started leaking BUT my clothes were always very clean. Because the washer was 38 years old it could not be repaired. The washer had only been repaired once in 38 years so I KNEW I had to purchase a WHIRLPOOL. I am so pleased with my new Duet. It's quiet & cleans our clothes really well. I have to admit I was a little intimidated at first to use it because it had so many features. Boy was I wrong. The instruction book made it so simple to use. The only drawback everyone (my daughter/niece) now brings their dirty laundry to my house so they can use my washer. This is a great washer & investment. I highly recommend this washer.

worst ever

This is the worst machine ever. If I had it to do all over again, I would buy any machine but this one.I have had it with this machine turning off mid cycle, even with the controls locked.how can you call it "control lock" if the light is on and all I have to do it lean against the machine for it to power off mid cycle? The last time this happened to me, the washing machine had 7 mins to go in the cycle. I was unloading the stacked drier when I leaned against the power button and it turned off. (?!!!!) I have even put plastic over the button to stop this but it is not a touch sensitive button. It is a pressure sensitive button. Nothing can stop the machine from powering off. I have to restart these loads over, from the beginning.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
