i was looking for a small freezer and chose DUF408WE. this is a great upright freezer, it is very nice and well made,it hold a lot of food, runs very quiet, and uses little electricity.there is no comparison to the cheap chest freezers out there.i look forward to many trouble free years of service

Fits our needs exactly for space and it's a good freezer. A one-of-a-kind for size and cost. My only reservations have to do with how long it will last. The first one we bought (Dec 2011) failed in three years (Oct 2014), and I was informed the cost to repair would exceed the price of a new one. Nevertheless we decided to go with another identical unit. And so my reservation has to do with waiting to see how this replacement holds up.

This unit is well-designed and can be filled to the brim, yet everything is readily accessible because of well-spaced shelves and door pockets. Met our needs.
