Perfect sized dishwasher for smaller homes.

This dishwasher is really great and handles both small and large dishes. No problem fitting most over sized dishes.
Pro: I like the extra flip up tray on the top, perfect for large serving spoons and lids. There is extra length across the front and back of the top draw. This allows me to put longer plastic lids in these sections, and there is a small bar on the outside of the rack on the right hand side for smaller items that may slip through
The bottom rack has three rows, with the option to lay down the back two rows if extra room is needed for larger dishes.
I like that I can set the Danby dishwasher to rinse for especially dirty dishes before washing them.
Con: over the last few months, the drying system does not work as well as ut used to. It may be from our hard water or maybe I need to do a bit of maintenance.
The cutlery caddy is a good size and is easily removable, allowing for some vital extra room at times. But, the bottom of the caddy is a lightweight plastic that must be sit perfectly over the tines that keep it secure, or the plastic can become torn. We can no longer use one section of the caddy. I'd like to see the bottom either be made of a sturdier material or the tines be moved out of the way. We have used the caddy sitting just beside the tines without incident.
I would buy this unit again for a smaller home. Great for remodeling older homes or trailers.
