First of all it would be nice if complete instructions were included. Secondly, defrosting bread or rolls is very difficult and lastly the light under the microwave should be in the front because where it is placed is of very little value.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had this purchased for me by a contractor. It came with my new kitchen which I love. Main problem is not the micowave itself. It just does not measure up to the one I had to give up. It was a large Kenmore with many more features. It's fine for it's size. I just do not like an over the stove micowave.

We got this microwave a week ago. We bought it to replace a GE Spacemaker XL Microwave Oven which we had 14 years, before it suddenly died. The new one looks the same, but some characteristics is not so good as they was before. The door is not transparent. I can't see the dish with food through the door, so I need to pause and open the door to check if my oatmeal not overboiled. I have not tested the all features yet, but those I did tested, are OK. The only one thing, that was not good is a new feature, a thin shelf. It came with defect: 2 strings were not soldered on one side, so it is useless. This shelf is so thin, that I am afraid, that is save to use it.
