Is this sheet metal or aluminum foil for the main cover and bottom. Very cheap feel. The paper used for the over the counter drilling guide might as well be printed on toilet paper. Manual is very cheap paper also. The drilling guide makes no mention of a center bolt/screw hole but the manual states to start the center screw first and then install the 2 front side screws. Poor pictures/diagrams. In this day and age of digital photography, there isn't much excuse for this poor documentation.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I installed this microwave a week ago and the second day the interior lamp burned out and tripped the circuit breaker. What I found was a large blob of silicone on the light bulb glass. The installation manual notes that GE applies a dab of silicone to prevent the lamp from coming loose during shipping but this was an excessive amount of silicone and the glass cracked under the silicone due to overheating. I replaced the lamp and the microwave has worked fine since then.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Installed super easy! Had a problem with the contacts so the fan wanted to run and the light remained on. Called customer service and they schedule a technician to come out the next day. Excellent customer service. Very helpful.

Product works well, heats quickly and with BETTER quality heating (Ex: Chicken nuggets feel heated inside-out and aren't warm and chunky, but feel fresh, but with less time required)

Just bought this microwave a month ago, and it's a great microwave. replaced an old GE microwave form the 90's. product tested and approved. it was time for an update. very easy to install. it almost matched perfectly with the old one. very clean and sleek features, and easy to use. love it
