I was very pleased that when the microwave was installed it's dimensions matched the dimensions of our previous GE microwave so that the old one just had to be slipped out and the new one inserted into the same framing structure. It made for a very quick and easy installation. I also like the fact that the features were the same so that I didn't have to re-learn how to use the microwave.

Call me old fashioned...

This microwave is great- love the "Night Light" function (you can set it to a timer). The ONLY THING I don't like about it (and this is why I titled my review "Call me old fashioned..."): the "Express Cook" feature. If you press the "1" button, for instance, the microwave will cook your food 1 minute. If you want to specify (for example) a 10-second increment, you first press "Cook Time" then enter the increment you want to cook your food for. Extra steps, kinda annoying if you just want to re-heat your coffee. It's hard to keep the microwave clean (on the outside). It's not stainless, but a damp cloth leaves streaks, and I don't want to have to buy special cleaners or wipes.

GE over the stove microwave. The fit was perfect and I am very satisfied with its looks and features.

We purchased this to replace an older model and we are very happy with it since it is simple and does not have a ridiculous selection of features i.e. chicken nuggets, pizza, etc. We just needed a functional microwave that is easy to use and this fits the bill.

Replacement Microwave
