Good Microwave

Has some good features that I thought would be useless. Fan has numerous settings including warp speed. Undercounter light needs to be LED.

I just updated all my kitchen appliances to stainless steel. The over the range microwave was the oldest. This new GE Profile had the one feature I wanted, the 4-speed exhaust fan (even though I don't exhaust to the outside I like the ability to filter cooking smoke and odors). I replaced the surface lights with 50W bulbs because the 20W that came on it were way too dim. I also wish the "Cook Time" and "Start" buttons were easier to read as they are the ones you use most frequently (perhaps contrasting colors or larger font labels would be a good idea). Overall, I'm very happy with the features and performance of this microwave so far (less than one month old). It I could give it 4-1/2 stars I would.

Great features and clean look

We got this microwave to replace an older one. We wanted to match our other GE appliances, but also wanted a simple design. This fit the ticket. And best of all, it has the quick settings, so I can just push 1 and it will cook for a minute!!! That is hard to come by!

My family has been using GE profile series for seven years and I recently replaced it with a newer model. Features are great and it heats the food evenly.

Good Design, Easy To Operate

We purchased this microwave oven to replace a countertop model as we changed over to stainless steel and wanted to match our other GE Profile kitchen appliances. The oven works very well and we have been pleased with its performance. It has some very thoughtful features in its programming which allow it to be very flexible in the things that it can do. This model is designed to be placed over a stove or cooktop so it has a "hood" fan and lighting underneath. The fan is very noisy regardless of the speed at which it is run. Of course, the slower speeds reduce the noise level somewhat. It does take a little time to get used to the fan noise or to decide not to use the fan in some instances -- like when you are trying to talk to someone. The lighting underneath is adequate but in our opinion should have been brighter and probably could have used more modern LEDs which use much less energy and radiates much less heat than the twin halogen tubes that are contained in this model. All-in-all, the oven does a great job; the fan and lighting are less pleasing but are workable if you know what to expect.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We've been using our microwave for sometime and everything works perfectly. Love the pop corn feature makes a perfect bag every time. Food is heated perfectly and is easy to clean.
