This microwave was installed by the builder, we didn't have a choice neither the option to upgrade.

Dead on Arrival

Replacement unit for a 9 year old GE OTR microwave. Installer installed this new special order unit on 10.20.14. Everything worked on the mircowave expect for the 'one' feature you purchase a microwave for, heating. Since it took nearly a month to receive the unit I will investigate other GE models or even consider another manufacturer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent ventilation.

We recently installed this microwave long with our other GE Profile Appliances and we love it. The space inside is huge for a microwave and I love that it comes with a shelf to microwave multiple things at once, if necessary. I was skeptical on the Venilation Microwaves because our previos one seemed to make more noise than it actually ventilated but this one works great. Not only does it look great but it works. The noise level for all vents is annoying but this one is not nearly as bad as most.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good....up to a point

Handle doesn't feel like metal and can be a weak link on any micro oven. Also, hard to pull, so added stresses must be applied to open has me worried about how long it will last. Clock is quirky and needs to be reset at times (disappears from screen) even after following instructions to maintain visability. Otherwise, the micro oven has performed well for six months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
