I have had this microwave for 4 years and have not liked it since I got it, but once it was installed, I simply couldn't afford to replace it. The turntable is a joke, it's like a 5 year-old designed it. Anything, or nothing causes it to quit working. I think even the hard water deposits from cleaning the interior and "wheels" on the mechanism cause it to not turn. I use it to heat my coffee or melt butter but don't trust it for anything else because of the uneven heating.

We bought this a year ago and we have been sorry we did from the start. Ours is a recirculating model and will not draw the steam into the filters, thus we have a mess every time we cook something that gives off steam. The steam builds up on the door, under the door, inside the microwave and sweats between the glass on the door. Our dealer suggested that we not use the front burners on the range for cooking items that give off steam. Sorry, Sorry.

A little cheap

Bought this new in 2014. It works very well, does everything the manual says it does, but after 3 years the handle broke off. This wasn't me yanking on it to open it, it was normal daily use. There are metal screws with plastic inserts holding the handle on and the plastic is what broke. There's no fixing this because of the way it's constructed. Time to go get another microwave.

A complete nightmare

This microwave stopped working four days after it was installed. The GE repairman came out, got it working again, and after he left, it promptly stopped heating food again. The light, clock and turntable work great. Heating food - not so much. Worst purchase ever.

Lower end model

It heats products inside just fine. The reason for the 2 stars is because this is a cheap model because whenever you hit the "start" button or use the microwave the vent turns on. At least our vent is vented to the outside, I'm afraid it would be even louder. So the vent cannot be turned off during this function. To heat anything up is very very loud. It is very annoying. We had no idea because our builder bought and installed this model, so I had a repair guy come out. He was very nice but said this is a cheaper model and GE got rid of the second fan which has the vent turn on while heating. Lame. I will try to sell this model because it's brand new and upgrade for another one.

It is great

It does everything I need to do with a microwave. One feature it has I like is the vent will come on automatically and stay on if the stove top temperature gets above certain temperature. The microwave was in the house when we bought it and the first time it happened I did not know if the microwave malfunctioned or we had ghost in the house. I called GE customer service and they told me that was a function of the microwave and I did not have ghost.

We've had this microwave about 4 months and have these issues ... the vent fan doesn't draw in air ... we heard a loud "pop" and the turntable stopped working and so did the night light. Inferior product ... do not buy!
