Phone has several issues and im extremly disatisfied with it. It has frozen a multitude of times, ive had to remove the battery to reset it.The battery dosent last very long if u perodically play scrabble or any other game. ive had several apps not work and force close. they say its a phone software defect. my reception is worse than my old samsung eternity i had and i have a hard time even getting online with it at work. which i never had a problem before with my old phone.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, camera takes great pics
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, battery life
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been very pleased with this phone. The only downside I would say is that it launched with Froyo as opposed to Gingerbread (I am on AT&T). The Rogers Wireless Infuse 4G was released with Gingerbread. Why the delay in getting GB to us in the states, Samsung?
The Infuse was alright at first I really liked it. But, for some reason it lags a lot, drops calls and freezes up pretty frequently. So, I got a replacement device and to my suprise the same thing happened again. I'm not sure if the Galaxy S II is any better but maybe I just should have waited.
I have had the Infuse 4G Smartphone for just over two months and have enjoyed the phone a bit more compared to my original Captivate mainly due to performance and the awesome large screen.
I had never thought I'd be watching movies on my phone but the impressive large screen on the Infuse 4G it seems totally appropriate and fun.
The unfortunate part of the phone I have issues with is the fact a Q2 2011 phone wasn't shipped with the latest Android OS. Gingerbread was out nearly 6 months prior to the release of the Infuse 4G, granted it does take time but other phones in the same time frame from other manufactures did come out with an early Gingerbread release. As of this review the OS update to Gingerbread still has not arrived and phone remains at 2.2.1.
Cons: froyo (2.2.1), lacks bluetooth voice dial (due to 2.2), poor battery life
I would recommend this to a friend!

Phone is great 50% of the time it works. Unfortunately, the software continually crashes and the phone is simply unreliable. I miss my iPhone, even with its tiny screen.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, terrible software. constant crashes other bugs.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Infuse 4G

This is my second Android product. It performs very well and usually loads data relatively quickly. The phone call quality is clear and consistently maintains service. Button placement is a bit awkward when using the phone in video mode. I am glad the USB connector is on the bottom of the phone; especially when placing it in a sideways configuration for viewing video. It simply makes that process easier. I have made a few videos with the unit but sadly cannot boast of the performance in that regard. One expects an 8 megapixel camera to produce video and images that look great. I was not able to achieve satisfactory video or still images in various lighting conditions especially in reduced or natural interior scenes. It has slow response time for image capture. By the time the shot is composed, the flash precedes the action and the scene reverts to its original state, as the camera finally takes the shot, usually out of focus and and well past the intended scene. My droid X with a 5 megapixel camera actually performs better in this regard. Choosing the Infuse 4G as an alternative to carrying a camera, not so much; carry a camera. The camera controls are a bit confusing and do not offer much in the way of focus, zoom, lighting and color control. It has the functions but they are awkward to use and do not respond well within fast changing situations. The return or exit control is a bit too sensitive to the touch and one finds the unit switches or exits from an application at the slightest touch or accidental nudge of the face. Having all the controls in a virtual configuration is overall a very useful addition. It permits a larger screen display, which is the biggest reason for selecting this model. It has one of the most amazing displays one can expect from a unit this size. It also comes with an HDMI to USB adapter which is really nice to have handy when viewing the video on a High Definition large screen video monitor like my Samsung 40" display. It really does a great job of surfing the net. Web pages are easy to read, and for those with vision trouble small images are somewhat of an important aspect of using a device such as the 4.5" Infuse display. The audio is a bit weak. I have not used the forward looking camera designed mostly for social applications. The battery life is about what one can expect, but it also depends heavily on what kind of applications are running. Some applications really make this phone heat up to the point where it gets very hot to the touch. It has the ability to tether and act as a wireless hot spot, (plans and availability required). The bluetooth works well with connecting to a host computer or other device similarly configured. It has trouble connecting to some bluetooth headsets. It can direct connect via the usb cable, supplied, or even wirelessly, using some of the apps designed to do this. This SmartPhone does a lot of things, most very useful and productive. It does not, however, do everything well. Because it is an Android, however, there is always something new to get it to do. The app market is incredible and it uses the applications in a made to order fashion. Most apps I have tried, hundreds in fact, have generally performed flawlessly; at least to the extent of the app designers code would allow it to perform. If you like a big clear screen display, with tons of bells and whistles, then this puppy is for you. Some of you techies can probably find another million useful things for this device to do, but for me, I am OK with what it can do already. One can get it up and running quickly without a lot of techie knowledge, but if one cares to delve into the recesses of the Droid World, who knows what some clever adventurer might discover and exploit? There is good reason Samsung has become a leader in this kind of technology. The stuff actually works.
Pros: Bright display, 4g capable, 4.5" display, fast
Cons: poor camera design, virtual exit button too sensitive, weak audio performance, not compatible with all bluetooth devices
I would recommend this to a friend!
