I have owned smartphone before and each was excellent, but I have to rate this Samsung above them. The color, the functionality everything about it is great.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight

Takes a while to learn all the options, but after that, it is really a nice phone with great options.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight, really thin and easy to put in pocket

needs a better battery. I found the unit too thin for its size and thickening it up with a better battery would be fine.
dont like having to swipe to answer a call. should be a button to answer or reject this phone is too big to hold in one hand a swipe with your thumb while keeping a grip on it.

This phone was GREAT when it was new , but then not much time later the better one came out with 2x the performance level. This phone is now Good, but no longer is it GREAT. It runs smooth, but it force closes frequently and lags from time to time.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: new thing came out with 2x the power

The SGH-i1997 Infuse is slim, lightweight and easy to use with a nice size screen. With available apps anything is possible.

This is such a better phone than I had before (Motorola Backflip). I love all the features, the bigger size and screen, the ease of how to use it - I could go on and on. Great value and very pleased. Samsung is the phone for me.

Why no Kies Support Folks?

I purchased this phone after getting tired of waiting for a new i phone. I also liked the integrated true GPS that i use when travelling internationally.
The phone performs reasonably well, BUT:
-Bluetooth quality is inconsistent.
-Lock Ups seem to plague the phone.
-No Kies support (not impressed AT ALL with this) How
do we get firmware updates reliably??
-Integration with ATT Microcell seems to be an issue, texts
require multiple resends.
-GPS antenna is a bit weak, lock time is slow.

Not sure if I have a dud or if the product was just released too soon. Looking at other users reviews, the problems appear pandemic with this phone. Unless Samsung addresses the frequent problems, this may be a lemon that I will regret buying... Hoping for a happy ending Samsung, at least fix the Kies issues. Ridiculous.

Cons: Poor quality, Too big, Did not meet expectations, no kies support, gps locking time very slow without 3g service
