less of a headache than Symbian, by far

PROS: The live tiles of Windows 7.5 are great. Interface is generally intuitive. Phone reception is superb. Decent selection of apps.
CONS: Ridiculous use of what appear to be sliders but are actually buttons. WHY, NOKIA, WHY? Nokia Drive claims to be usable offline, but isn't unless you are outside of your car in the middle of a field. Battery life is great sometimes and miserable other times, with no change in what apps and services are running. Can't sync with Outlook without Microsoft Exchange. This is actually worse than with Symbian, hard though that may be to believe. Touchscreen is erratic, and loves, loves, loves to open Bing if you breathe on the phone.
Pros: Personal

I love the Nokia Lumia 900. It is an excellent smart phone and has more features and capabilies that are provided by Nokia such as Nokia maps (on and offline), voice navigation, city lens, Nokia music, and Nokia network setup just to name some. Nokia is the only smartphone I will ever buy. The Windows phone experience is great and Nokia makes it even better.
Pros: Personal

Don't know how to screen shot and rotation.. Next update should have battery percentage on the top instead of having to go to settings and all that

Lots of customized limitations... "I Cannot!"

This is my return to a Nokia device, last one was the Armageddon phone (6100) & 7290. I've waited for this device since it is LTE and I'm on AT&T, good chance to learn Windows Phone 7.5 interface. I understand there's always a different way to customize, but my issues are about 'I Cannot' customize.
I have a Blackberry Torch and have customized it to my needs. I tried to perform the same type of customization but I Cannot! I have 17 items to customize, the Lumia only allows for 4; is this a limitation of Windows Phone or Lumia hardware? The must have customization features should allow me to customize my alert tones for Email, IM, Txt. Ringtones will not sort alphabetically; no custom lock screen message "If lost, please call..."; cannot manually change to 3G (to save battery); onboard storage is not recognized as Mass Storage (can manage files/folders freely).
I always here Blackberry is 'stupid', I compared both and I know 'I Can' on my Blackberry, and 'I Cannot' on my Lumia 900. Here's the entire list of customized items that need to be added to compete:
*Wallpaper - Can I use any image file format & any size - Yes *Desktop - Can I arrange, remove, add icons on home screen as needed - Yes *Desktop – Can I use folders to manage icons on home screen - No *Desktop - Can I collapse/adjust icons on home screen to show background only - No *Desktop – Can I display technical details, signal strength – No, only the bars which is an approximate guess of signal strength; looking for -70dBm *Sounds - Can I create sound profiles – No, must manually change sound properties when changing environments for each sound notification *Sounds - Can I use any mp3 as sound notifications/ringtones, can I sort the list alphabetically? – Ringtone Only (change Genre to ‘ringtone’), cannot alphabetize; cannot use custom mp3 files for New text, voicemail, email *Sounds - missed call alert – No, must manually logon to device to learn of any missed calls *Sounds - Can I assign personalized sounds for individual Contacts when contacting me via message or phone – Yes for phone, No for messages *Display – Custom Lock screen message, "If lost, please call…" - No *Display - LED indicator – No LED on device *Device - Service status; available disk space, etc. - Yes *Device – manually downgrade network to 3G, etc. – No, AT&T has disabled this function. Other networks can manually select to 3G *Device - Auto Power On/Off; weekdays, weekends - No *Device - How can I move any file format onto the device – No, does not recognize onboard storage as Mass Storage device *Device - How can I manage the folder structure on the device – No, not Mass Storage device *Firewall - Block global Text messages (SPAM); Allow Contacts listed - No
Pros: Personal, Business
