Very satisfied overall with my KitchenAid dishwasher. The only difficulty I have with
it is the control panel. It seems to me that the touchpad buttons take a lot of
pressure to operate. I HAVE TO REPEATEDLY PRESS AND HOLD IN ORDER
TO SHUT THE UNIT OFF at the end of the cycle. I started using normal pressure
and that didn't work. Then I pressed in different areas of the touchpad button and
that didn't work. Each time I go to shut the thing off in the evening i have to touch
the pads in a different way with different pressures. I hesitate to call for service because it's been my experience that once the control panel is messed with by the technician something else seems to go wrong. I simple do not have the option
to take an entire day off to schedule a service call.

QUIET! Our old dishwasher would wash for hours on end and it was so loud! We could not comfortably watch TV at the same time. So glad we replaced it.

Nice look to dishwasher, quiet and does a good job cleaning dishes. 2 problems - hard to push buttons to get dishwasher to run, but they also get pushed if you accidently lean against the dishwasher, go figure. The silverware holder is not sturdy and keeps falling into the holders, extremely frustrating. My children keep taking them out because they hate to deal with them. Silverware does not get as clean without using them.

Cons: Silverware holder, OUTSIDE BUTTONS

Door very stiff to open. Had to have service right away because the upper basket was made so poorly. Wheel jumped out of the track and dishes went flying forward

I have had the dishwasher about 2 months. It just doesn't seem to get the dishes as clea as I would like. Silverware will often still look dirty. Coffee mugs have a residue inside after a Heavy Duty cycle Also very easy to brush against the control panel and accidentally activate a button.
