This is the first Kitchen Aid dishwasher I have had. I was limited by the color of Bisque, and the fact my dishwasher of ten years stopped working during an exceptionally busy week.
My previous dishwasher had the utensils on the door, leaving more room for more items to be put on the lower rack.
I have a habit of rinsing my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, and even doing that there are bowls on the top rack that have food residue on them.

Although it is still brand new so cannot say anything about it's longevity, we are very happy with it's performance so far. Quite and efficient washing and drying! Could have designed the interior placing a little better as the large coffee mugs have no place to go, and the silver ware basket is too big .

We love our new dishwasher -- from the adjustable racks, to the stainless steel interior, to the smudge resistant exterior, to the extraordinarily quiet operation -- it's a great machine. I love it!
The only improvement I'd recommend would be a quick rinse option.

This is my second Kitchenaid dishwasher. It is a very good product. I only wish it didn' t leave so much water on my plastics and glass tops. Otherwise it is reliable and super quiet.

Good performance - the only difficulties are 1. we very often inadvertently hit the buttons while standing in front of the machine, 2. oddly given the above we have trouble starting the machine on the right cycle - push start and nothing happens or push start and it goes into dry cycle.
All of the above could be classified as operator error but it would seem that there would be ease of operation at leat follow an intuitive plan.

This dishwasher is great! It cleans anything you throw at it! Super quiet! I ran 3 loads of dishes and pans during a dinner party and nobody noticed until the signal sounded indicating cycle complete. Love the 1 hour quick cycle! The control lock for the touch panel is a must to prevent accidental starts. Control lock is easy to use-3 second hold button and your good to go.

I bought this dishwasher last month as or Bosch add stopped working and we had so many recalls as to service we didn't feel that we would purchase another. Our electric range is a KitchenAid that has not had any issues and it is 14 years old. This has been a great dishwasher so far and trust that we will have many more years of service.
