I have owned several dishwashers and was very disappointed with this model. While it was very quiet when running, my dishes did not come out clean and soap suds were left on the bottom of the dishwasher. I tried several different brands of dishwashing soap to no avail. It appeared that the soap door did not open fully as it hit the top rack even when the rack was moved to it's highest position. I finally return the dishwasher and replaced it with another brand.
Pros: Very quiet, Performance
Cons: did not get dishes clean.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Kitchen Aid is a product line that I have trusted for many years. Less than two years ago, I chose the Kitchen Aid dishwasher that was most similar to this one and just loved it. My husband and I bought a home closer to his ailing mother and I refused to move unless I could bring my dishwasher! He's an angel and bought another one for me!! This is the second Kitchen Aid dishwasher in two years and they are absolutely great! No problems, no noise, only clean, sparkling dishes and glassware. Thanks Kitchen Aid!!

I bought this dishwasher a couple of months ago. I'm basically very pleased with its operation except that it is very easy to start the machine by just leaning against the counter. I have to keep the lock on when I'm not using it/ Electronic keys are very sensitive.

This dishwasher had the layout I was looking for and holds a good amount of dishes. Both the top and bottom racks are deep enough to hold tall cups and plates. The top rack is adjustable to two heights which is nice. It is extremely quiet! It does hold the smell of dirty dishes which is unfortunate and the dishes have to be rinsed off well before loading or the food won't come off. Otherwise, it's a good product.

Cons: doesn't fully dry dishes, holds smell of dirty dishes

I purchased this dishwasher last month and have been pleased with it, overall. It is quiet and I like the lock feature that allows buttons to be locked so that an accidental bump will not change the cycle. I like that I can make the top rack higher - which I have done. The drawbacks are that the bottom rack is flush and dishes seem to roll around when pulling the rack in or out. Also, the lock button is difficult to figure out in that it is difficult to tell when it is unlocked.
