Perfect size

Contrary to the negative reviews I have read , I find that this freezer is more then I expected. This freezer holds a lot more then I expected it would so I put 4 gallon milk containers 2/3 full of water in the deepest portion and a piece of plastic lattice over the jugs to take up space. We have had plenty of space for our refrigerator over flow . Actually we have three turkeys in it right now plus plenty of other things and there's still room for more. The freezer is set at the mid point of the dial and the freezer thermometer that I hung in the top basket reads a consistent two below zero. I check the green light on the front to make sure it's running because the only time it can be heard is when the compressor first starts. Other then that it is perfectly quiet. I have read where people complain about the ice build up particularly on the top areas of the side walls. This is true but of course the fuller the freezer is the less the ice will accumulate . Also if you expect a freezer that doesn't build up ice you should buy a more expensive frost free model. This freezer works fine for me , I try to keep it relatively full and ice buildup hasn't been a problem. Of course , the more the freezer is open the more the ice will build up also.

great for winter storage

Bought this product because the freezer in the frig just was not big enough. This freezer chest is perfect for storing everything I need through out the holidays and winter. It may look small but stores A LOT of food!
