Good choice for small space; quiet and efficient

Have owned this for a couple months now and am very happy so far. It has space conscious design, is quiet and reliable, freezing meat VERY solid at the medium setting. It is in a heated/cooled part of the house; but doesn't seem to use a large amount of electricity. The only feature that could improve is the accessibility of the space inside - possibly more removable racks and shelves?

Perfect Townhouse size

Perfect size for a single or couple in a townhome. It doesn't take up a lot of space and runs quietly. Also, it holds a considerable amount of food for a single, a couple or small family of 3-4.

Excellent freezer for the money!

After researching freezers, I chose this chest freezer over an upright. My reasoning is: 1) freezer can be in the garage, 2) great freezer space for 1 - 2 people, 3) GE is #1 in quality products (I only buy GE) 4) easy manual defrost, 5) uprights will only bring future headaches from opening & closing door, causing the evaporator fan (or defrost mechanism) to work overtime, freeze up in the back & go out after 2-3 years. This is the my first chest freezer, & I know it will serve me faithfully for many years to come. I definitely recommend this GE manual defrost chest freezer.

Small, but plenty of room for our overflow. Like that we can keep in garage, because of the rated temp range. Started up like a champ.
