The form, fit and function of Netgear GS752TPv2 switch is of fine quality, and configuring the device is very easy and intuitive via the Netgear Smart Control Center software.

Reliable, flexible, a bargain workhorse

This is far from my first netgear managed switch. It offers pretty much every option one would expect in an enterprise-class switch, though the configuration is sometimes puzzling- but I’ve run this and many other netgear switches and have had zero hardware issues and they do everything they claim.

Overall Ok. 2 things I didnt't like.

Out of the box this switch had major problems. We used it as Phone switch segmented by our router that provided DHCP to all the phones connected to it. Right out of the gate, phones started dropping like flies. The phone server (on the same switch) would lose connection with the phones that were powered by the POE. This continued until we upgraded the Firmware, then all worked fine. Which leads to my disdain. I downloaded the Firmware and was told I needed to register the device. I was in a hurry to get my customer back on-line and did not register. When the switch came back up I had very little access to ANY of the settings POE etc. that I had before the firmware upgrade. So I couldn't set anything until I registered. This is annoying and bad business in my opinion. We paid a lot of money for this switch and feel it should work out of the box. It's OK now doing what it should do but with a lot of hassle and 1/2 the day my customer had sporadic phones.
