Good compact zoom lens

I bought this compact zoom lens for my NX10 a few months ago. Since I started off with the 30mm pancake, switching over this lens was a very different experience, with its own pros and cons.
First off, its focal range of 20-50mm comes in useful in everyday situations. From a wide landscape to a closeup portrait, the lens delivers beautifully (provided there is enough light, more on that later)
Though the zoom range is not as long and wide as the kit lens (20-50mm vs. 18-55mm) I found that the 7mm "deficit" does not make a huge difference. Taking two steps forward or back gives effectively the same result.
The end product is a lens that allows me the flexibility to capture the expanse of a scene or zoom in to a close detail.
On that merit alone, this lens is worth recommending.
Build quality is also excellent. Though the body is made from plastic, I do not doubt its reliability and durability for the next few years. At its price, this lens is well worth it.
The size of the actual lens is also satisfying. When collapsed, the lens is not much bigger than my 30mm pancake lens. As such, carrying it around all day is not a problem. When extended, the lens does not protrude out grossly.
My only complaint about the lens is its image quality. Switching from the 30mm to this lens feels like a step down in that department. The live view is noticeably noiser and less lively. Quality images in dim conditions are much harder to take.
Of course, this is expected from the lens' design (an inexpensive, compact lens). Since the aperture is smaller, the image quality cannot be held to the same standard as the 30mm F2. So, if you plan on doing alot of night photography with this lens, make sure to bring a tripod with you.
All in all, this lens is a great add on if you want a small, compact, and reasonably versatile lens.
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight, versatile, great focus ring feel, excellent handling, great in good lighting, compact
Cons: Poor quality, no stabilization, not ideal for dim lighting

as long as you have updated your firmware to 1.20 or higher on your nx10 you will love this lens for all around photos, i like it better than the 18-55 zoom lens because its lighter weight, more reasonable, and has better image quality.
the thing i like most about it though is the i-function basically instead of using the finger dial near the shutter button to adjust manual settings, you press a button on the lens, and select either aperature, iso, shutter speed or white balance with the finger dial and then adjust the value with a dial on the lens, its makes shooting in manual much easier and makes for quicker shots and more thorough picture quality.
Pros: Realistic color, Lightweight, quality to price is right
