Too many problems!

Directions book is poor. Does not bake evenly. Several functioning problems such as some gas outlets have reduced flame.

My GE range/stove

I bought my range/stove/oven almost 2 months ago. Love the surface/cooking area, but not impressed with the oven performance at all.

Almost Perfect

My previous GE range that I had for over 20 years was aging and I had been looking for another. I do not like Stainless Steel, White. I did like the GE slate appliances but a complete overhaul of appliances would be required along with a kitchen renovation so the new refrigerator would fit and that was out out of the question. I also wanted matching appliances. I presently have bisque colored appliances and wanted a range to that color. There lays the problem. Selection was very limited. Based on other reviews we decided to go with this GE range.
It had my different sized sealed burners, a fifth burner for griddle and was convection. It did not have the warming drawer that I was looking for but I knew I was not going to get all I wanted in my color choice. I must say I'm very pleased. The initial set up took some time and after baking a couple batches of cookies had the oven temperature calibrated. I do like the grates but they are very heavy and rough. They come in three sections which in my opinion make it easier for cleaning. I've notice the two side grates that I use almost daily seem to be getting a little smoother from the cooking oils and is making clean up easier. I also like that it has a steam clean option but have not used it yet so cannot comment on that feature. The color is lighter than bisque looking almost white but it's growing on me. The only other ironic thing was that in just a couple of months the appliance bulb burned out and needed to be replaced. I don't ever recall replacing the appliance bulb once in over 20 years in my previous range. I do enjoy cooking on this new stove. It is well built and I am overall pleased with our purchase and would recommend to others. We have only had the range for three months though so if I'm able I will try to update in a year or two.

I love using my new stove. Great for baking. My one complaint is cleaning the stove is a little difficult. Burnt on stains aren't coming off.

WOW - JUST BOUGHT THIS AND LOVE THE FEATURES - RAPID BOIL - WORKS! FOR REAL, I THINK THE STEAM CLEAN FEATURE IS WONDERFUL AND LOOK FORWARD TO TRYING IT OUT. THERE IS QUITE A BIT FOR YOUR MONEY IN THIS UNIT

Stove works fine. My only problem is that it is hard to keep clean. I apparently will never get a coffee stain out of the white part of the stove, or the metal piece that surrounds the burner where the flames come out.
