This oven is beautiful and the sliding trays are smooth gliding. However, sometimes when you're baking and have the tray extended to baste or flip food, the easy slide is a hindrance -slides when you don't want it to. Also when baking pizzas directly on the racks, the large handle opening at the front of the top 2 trays causes the pizza to fall down the hole.
There is a fan that runs after you mw or cook anything to cool the ovens off. This is pretty annoying but we thought perhaps this feature would keep the electronics working so we try to ignore it. Unfortunately, we have only had our unit for 3 months and the touch keypad is already giving us problems! We purchased this unit to replace an 11 y.o. unit with similiar keypad issues, didn't expect to have this problem so soon esp at this price point! Awaiting a service call.

A combo to love

I love the wave touch controls. I just wave my fingers over the screen and the combo comes to life. It has cool features like butter melting and bread proofing. I really like how the oven shelves roll out to remove items from the oven.

It is beautiful! The sliding racks are great, the mw is smart and the various setting seem to cook just right. It has features I haven't even learned how to use yet. The only issue we have had in 7 months is that the fan keeps running. This has happened twice and the only way we could turn it off was to flip the breaker outside.
I would recommend this to a friend!

if your kids don't like popcorn you should buy it

THe oven part it's ok... but the microwave is horrible!!!
Doesn't heat well, you can put the extra thing that comes with it! Really, you know already how bad the microwave is, that you send me an extra tray to see if can help to heat better??? So sad!!!
And God forbid your kids want to make popcorn... After 5 boxes of all different brands, with or without the extra tray....no way this thing can pop a more then 3/4th of the bag.... Very disappointed!!!
Stay away.... also of their dishwasher!!!

It's okay but has problems

When this unit works, it's really good. There are some things that aren't great about it and things I considered when purchasing it that were constraints on my end.
I run restaurants for a living so it's important for me to test recipes at home quite frequently - Try new things, see the feasibility of some things are. This unit has some cool features that drove my decision to purchase:
- dehydrate, oven controls down to 100 degrees is a pretty rare thing and something I liked,
- Multiple convection settings - I liked the ability to choose between roast convection, bake convection and broil convection.
- Microwave presets - there's some useful things here it's just that the microwave isn't that great (does have troubles with popping popcorn!)

The look of the oven is really cool. It's stainless with some lines that are more consistent with the 50's which I loved.
Overall I love the performance of the oven but the Microwave leaves a lot to be desired. Such is life~

Loving it... now...

Okay - I had some issues with this product after I purchased it in March. I had to have service company out 4 times to get it working correctly. Basically, they had to replace both mother boards, 2 fans, and every other working component to make this oven work (except maybe the door hinges). It took one month - that was in addition the month we spent without an oven doing research and waiting to get this one installed after previous oven died completely. Now it's working! I LOVE IT!
The features on this oven I've only begun to learn about. So far my favorite is the Dehydrate function by far. I have made various fruit leathers, Beef Jerky, and dried some fruit for our son. It's pretty amazing and has a tremendous range all the way down to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. I'll take that all day, week and year!
The microwave is great and works well but I have seen some consistency issues. It'll cook white rice via sensor but has a hard time evenly heating a small cup of milk for the kiddo and brown rice isn't great outta the microwave. Additionally, it seems to be inconsistent with bags of regular microwave popcorn even when put on the specialized tray. There are some other reheat options that work to various degrees. I haven't tried the auto-defrost functions yet but am sure I will at some point soon.
I never trust an ovens temperature! NEVER! When it comes to heat, I tend to rely more on digital probe thermomoeters and thermocouples that are BY FAR more reliable than oven thermometers. I have had some real doozy ovens in the past and this one I can say with some level of certainty, holds temperature pretty accurately compared to where you set the temp. I test and calibrate my oven almost monthly because I am a stickler about knowing what is really is going on in there. On the convection cycles, including dehydrate, it seems to hold temp much better than on a traditional oven cycles. (bake)
Had it not have been for the delay in having a functioning unit, I would have given this a 5 star rating. That's literally the only thing that was off-putting and I can't wait to use more of the oven's features.

Heavy duty luxurious appliance

I am a very handy man that I almost remolded my entire house on my own and kitchen is the last to remodel. My old oven had about 20 years of service and hopped to last longer before I embark on full kitchen remodel. Make story short, I searched of a replacement for over a month and ended up with this beautiful piece of appliance. Although was almost about $1500 more than other brands but wanted this beauty after I checked it in local store. However, I bought online with discounted price of little over $1000 and applied for $200 rebate but have not received it yet.
All in all it works great, looks great and price is not so bad considering the luxury comes with it. I am hoping to last for long time. Beautiful touch controls with intuitive functionalities, we barely read the guide and still get what we want out of it. I love the convection cooking option for even cooking on all sides. Safe racks handling for hands protection. Auto cooking options and favorite setting. Overall, it's great.

Sleek, smart, and efficient! Electrolux wall oven/microwave combo lives up to its repuation! It is as beautiful to look at as it is to cook with it! It's very roomy inside, too! Plus, it has a warming feature! We love the blue interior as well as the blue LED lights!
