GFWS3500LOWW Front Load Washer with Steam

From our very first load last night right after installation, we noticed such a dramatic improvement in the cleanliness of our laundry. We selected this model because of the steam feature and my goodness its more than we hoped. Its well worth every cent invested in this appliance. We went brand experimenting over the past decade and came to the conclusion we never should have left GE. We are back to stay, and every appliance in our home will be converted back to GE. Superior products that all those other brands can't begin to match. If you are pondering whether to purchase this model GE steam washer and matching steam dryer, ponder no more. You will not be disappointed.

Shuts itself down at the 57 minute mark of any cycle you choose. Empties itself and just sits there. A 60 minute cycle takes approx. 90 minutes to complete, even if it chooses to run through the 57 minute mark, rarely happens but still, 90 minutes for a load of laundry.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This product has great features.

Just had installed today. I've been washing all day and I love it. Doesn't matter what you wash or how much you put in the washer, it does a wonderful job. It is extremely quiet and smooth running and extracts the water so completely that the drying time has been cut down considerably. This is winner in my household!

Overall I recommend this machine. Very, very quiet we have it installed on the 2nd floor laundry room. Large capacity and washes very well. The dials/settings are easy to use and understand.

You can custom wash our clothes and doesn't wear our clothes out. we are glad we bought it and was priced good

Disappointment!

I have never been so disappointed with a washing machine in my life! The one hour cycle usually runs for about an hour and a half... And that's if I "fix" it from time to time. It doesn't hold as much as my old and old fashioned washer did! 4.1 what? Ounces? I have never had to babysit a washer before. I am not happy. I am ready to junk it and buy a cheap, old fashioned one. I would never suggest for ANYONE to buy one of these!

this is a lemon

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this machine for 8 months and have just scheduled my 5th repair call, the front door leaks, will not leak till 3rd or 4th load, which I normally only do 2 loads at a time, so intermittently when doing more the door leaks, there seems to no rhyme or reason for this, the gasket has been repalaced and a door hinge and adjustments, still I am left waiting for repairman. he is very nice, but really I have better things to do. strongly discourage purchasing this machine.
