Meh...I would try something else...

I purchased this at a local store that was going out of business so I thought I got a good deal. I had owned the Breville centrifugal-type and wanted to "upgrade" my juicer. I did read a lot of reviews and I know Hurom and Omega are the best. So, I bought this model.
Assembles fine. The instruction manual indicates that I should have gotten TWO strainers (fine and course). I only got one in the box. So, I tried it and the juice IS PULPY! Not what I expected since my current Breville's juice isn't pulpy. So, I assumed perhaps I had gotten the coarse strainer. When I called Customer service, they indicated that they no longer include the "coarse" strainer with the juicers, that what I have is the "fine" strainer and that they didn't update their manual to reflect that. Well, even for this amount of money, I expected better. The rep on the phone indicated that the horizontal juicers are better than the vertical juicers. Oh great - so if I happen to buy another juicer, I'll just go spend more money on that one. I have what I have now so I'll need to make do...
It does the job well - slowly pressing the juices and the pulp is definitely drier than that the centrifugal one. I guess I'll just need to do the extra step to "strain" my juice into the glass...
I have read reviews that this model tends to clog - no issues with that...yet. BUT I can see where/how/why it could clog. Just be sure to alternate hard/soft fruits/veggies and you should be ok. So far, no issues...knock on wood... :)
The machine IS heavy, sturdy, parts seem durable and good quality.
If you can afford it, go ahead and invest in the horizontal-type juicer. That's why this model only gets two stars from me. If I had only known...

Satisfied, for the most part

I received this juicer from a friend of mine who, as a diabetic, bought it back in May '14 and used it 5 times. She was unable to drink the juice, as it made her glucose level rise too high, so it sat for 18 mos in her basement until now, she gave it to me. I have used it for about a week now, and have had 3 large juicing sessions - producing enough juice for me to have for 6 days (three sessions of juicing for an hour - 2 days worth each time). I am juicing everything from carrots, apples, cucumbers, to lacinato kale, red chard, celery, pomegranate seeds, cherries, cranberries, pineapple (even the core, which I could NOT put through my old centrifugal juicer - Jack LaLane Power Juicer Pro). I am VERY satisfied with the quality of the juice - even after stored for 2 days (in mason jars with the white plastic lids). With my old juicer, juices would spoil within 4 hours, which would prohibit me from taking them to work for lunch at mid-shift. The only thing I do not like about the juicer so far is the amount of pulp in the juice. I remedy that by pouring it through a strainer and problem solved - extra step, but makes it much more palatable for my tastes. I did have to adjust my recipes as this juicer gives me MUCH more yield from my leafy greens than the centrifugal juicer did, so the taste was definitely a little different. Cleaning is easy and I have not had any problems with the pulp ejection or the juicer stopping on me. I cut everything as John Kohler states to cut it up in his videos on YouTube and feed things through differently than my old juicer as well - and it seems to work well. It is an extra step to prep the food, but well worth it to me to be able to make juice ahead for 2-3 days at a time instead of having to clean the juicer every time I wanted a juice - several times per day. Cleaning is easy with just water and the cleaning bush provided in the box. I do wonder if the warranty is still good on this machine for me since I am not the original purchaser and how I go about looking into that - I still have the warranty card that she never filled out and sent in.

Juices fruits and some vegs but sometimes clogs.

I have had my VRT350 over 3 years. It makes wonderful juice from both veggies and fruit. It arrived with a cracked auger (which is very unusual!) but the company was great and sent a replacement auger. The only problem with this juicer, and the reason that I am giving it 3 stars instead of 5, is that the pulp ejection spout clogs whenever I juice veggies such as kale, cilantro, beet greens, celery, you get the idea. I have tried everything: I cut the stalks into 1-2" pieces, I alternate them with carrots or apple, I've juice them first, I've juiced them last. It doesn't matter; the spout will clog. It is true that sometimes "only" half of the spout clogs, but the wad of stalk strings extends from the spout back up into the basket and I can't believe that this is good for the machine. Also, the backup sometimes causes a bit of juice to leak through the center gasket onto the pin and center portion of the base. This problem makes it difficult to make large batches of juice without having to stop and clean out the pulp path. I have heard that the newer models have addressed this problem, so for that reason I would buy one of the newer models instead of this one if you plan to include veggies such as I mentioned. If you don't juice a lot of leafy greens with their stalks and/or celery, this is the perfect juicer for you.

Mixed feelings

I believe in the benefits of fresh vegetable juice. I bought this juicer about 3 years ago. It has always shocked me if I touch the on off button with wet hands — using leafy veggies or celery clogs it up... so expect your hands to be wet. It's super hard to clean, the auto clean is a joke. I love juicing, I expected a better product for the amount of money I spent.

Great juicer but...

This loses one star for lack of design consideration when it comes to disassembling the top half of the juicer (or main body) from the base (motor). It's a tight fit when assembled and when I go to remove it for washing, it takes all my strength to do some and often at multiple tries. There's no grip to be able to hold the base still while twisting off the tightly secured top half. I realize I'm going to reach a time when I will no longer be able to use the machine simply for lack of being able to clean the parts. I already am discouraged from using it often as a result.
It loses another star for it's inability to juice veggies like the carrot well, where the pulp always feel wet.
Overall I am satisfied with Omega. Perhaps the newer models have factored these in and are worthy of 5 stars. I would definitely recommend this brand to others but just not this model.

Difficult to put back together

Just bought my first juicer as am told masticating better than centrifugal. It got clogged up on first usage, and the main bowl bit kept moving off the motor, requiring me to hold it in place at the same time as holding the button pressed. Also it's a total faff putting it together. I've just taken about an HOUR to make some juice and clear up the mess. Now have dismantled for washing. And I just can't put it back together again. Is it just me? £280 down, and I don't feel like going through it all again tomorrow morning. I can see this just sitting gathering dust...

It is under a 10 year warranty! I love it! I have had mine about 5 years now. They have gladly replaced anything without any questions asked. I have Crohn's disease & this juicer helps me absorb crucial nutrients. I use it every day, sometimes twice a day. I would definitely recommend this juicer to anyone!

I purchased the juicer about 2 months ago and use it every other day. I'm not too pleased with the fact I can only get approx one quart of juice before it will only produce mush. I do kale, carrots, beets, ginger, apples, cucumber, lemons, parsley and celery. I generally must strain it before drinking.
