Love this juicer

When I got this omega juicer I passed my old centrifugal juicer on to a friend. This omega juicer is wonderful and surpasses my old juicer. I juice almost daily, mainly carrots and greens. With this juicer I actually will get juice out of all my greens, even brussel sprouts. I've had this juicer about 6 years and it has preformed flawlessly. When juice backs up in the drum I found that there is mineral build up that slows the movement of the juice. To remedy this, I soak the auger, screen and drum in a weak acid solution (vinegar) to help remove the mineral buildup and its back to working perfectly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I used a Champion Juicer for over 30 years. I grow and process all our veggies and fruits for the year so I use machines a lot and know which are good.. We love juice daily. I bought the Omega 8500 recently because it said it worked well on greens. My other juicer did not. Many other features attracted me too. It was also a great price compared to most other juicers of this type on the market. The reviews I read were all very positive. I was very pleased with how well it juiced almost anything. I also find the homogenizing feature very valuable when making many dishes.. It is so quiet and much easier for me to lift than the old juicer. It is very very simple to put together and take apart. Congratulations to the designers . It is so easy to clean too! I look forward to discovering new uses for it in the years ahead. This one's a keeper. . Thanks Omega!.

Juice was amazing, but took back...

The juice was fantastic. The auger chipped within just a few uses however, and I had to return it. I'm a little concerned those chips made it into my juice ;O< Want to try another Omega juicer because of the juice quality, but unsure I want to risk another auger chipping.

They all heat up

Somebody posted a review stating the machine heated up. This is normal, there's a motor in there, doing a lot of work. Ours works great, is easy to clean, and makes great juice. Only thing we'd change is a wider throat to feed veggies into, but I understand there are specific models that address this, and it might not work as well with a masticating juicer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

i have omega juicer over 3 yaers now and using two times a day some times and this one can take abuse with no problem so thanks omega for good product

EASY CLEAN UP!!!!!

I bought this juicer for a liver detox and just love it!! Juices beautifully with ease and the clean up is a snap! I had a different well priced juicer that I would not use because the cleanup was so tedious so I quit using it... Not this one it will be my long time friend :) thanks for a great product!!!

Problem with the screen

We bought our Omega 8005 a couple of years ago. We love many features about it, except for the screen. Our juicer gets used exclusively for wheat grass and the screen just doesn't seem heavy duty enough to handle daily juicing for about 6oz, of juice? We are trying to buy a third screen as the first two have given out. They seem to be out of stock on the website. Maybe they are working on improving this one. We hope so, as we want to get back to juicing and not have to buy another juicer! I can't say I would recommend this one for wheat grass juicing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Juicer

I have owned this juicer for at least 5 years. About 18 months of that I rarely used it. I have been back into juicing again and have come to this website because I was thinking of giving 2 of them for xmas gifts and I wanted to know the pricing nowadays. I have no idea what problem the reviewer with the overheating problem is having. I have used this machine in marathon juicing sessions and have never had overheating. This thing is a tank and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. The only thing I can say negatively about this juicer is that IMHO it is slightly overpriced. I can now get a very comparable juicer from Dr. Mercolas website with free shipping. So that is what I am now deciding on.
