Whoever designed this had a passion for audio, a passion for function, and a passion for form - because the Shape excels in all of these areas.
I received one of these free during a promotional period when I purchased my Samsung TV. It was a great move on Samsung's part because here I am one year later purchasing another one. (or my first one, depending upon how you look at it)
Why the year wait to purchase another if I was so satisfied? These things are quite expensive, after all! :)
The audio quality is excellent, and I have high expectations from audio systems. The low end frequency response is quite impressive for a 4 inch woofer (35HZ) and you can safely play the shape at high volumes without distortion.
The Samsung Multiroom Audio App is a must (it's free to download) and this is where you begin to realize how versatile this system is.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could stream Pandora and play my Amazon music collection directly through the Samsung Multiroom app using my Wi-Fi connection.
This may not sound like much at first glance because one could launch each app individually and connect via bluetooth.. but that's just it - The Samsung Multiroom app is a central location to play a multitude of services and connected via Wi-Fi so I'm free to roam the house/yard with no range restriction.
Here are a list of the services that are supported (so far, could be more in the future) through the Multi room app:
TuneIn Radio Amazon Music Milk Music Pandora Spotify 8tracks iHeartRadio Rdio Murfie Rhapsody
Another fun fact: There is also a built in alarm feature! You can configure the time, date, the audio source, and (in the case of owning multiple Shapes) the Shape you want to set the alarm to.
Brilliant indeed.
The only slight complaint I have is that it seems you can only set 3 favorite stations to the hard button on the Shape itself. It would be nice if it would allow one to configure more.
I would also like to be able to override the feature where the Shape auto switches to mono output when the Shape is positioned vertically.
Oh... and one last thing.. for those that may think the m7 is too large - they do sell an m5 that has a smaller foot print.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall a fantastic piece of hardware.
I wanted multiple bluetooth capable speakers to be placed wherever i chose and let me tell you; I use the wifi capabilities more than Bt.
I am just setting up my music upgrades and I really enjoy hearing the speaker in the kitchen , being backed-up by the other (2 of 2) speaker in the living room. It adds depth and soul to the acoustical properties of all possible conditions.
I have only begun to see the tip of the iceberg in capabilities.
My suggestion is to buy 2 of the m7's, hook them up, and start playing around. You will see that there are almost limitless possibilities of how to move music from one location to another.
Last Note! 1 feature that I did not read about this clearly...as follows: I can have the Samsung "Multi Room" app up and running and my wife can bring up her session of the Samsung multi room and her display (gui) looks like it copied my last known config and BouYah! She's in and playing with the music.
Pros: good design, versatility, another fine product from samsung
Cons: system hangtime
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Speaker

I bought this speaker with the hub so I can use multiple speakers around my home. Since I only have 1 speaker I do not need to use the hub and it works perfectly. I can use it to listen to my music on my tablet & phone and I also use it with my TV. Since all the flat screen TV's do not have that great of sound I use it instead of my surround sound system when I do not need that movie theater experience. When I am not using it for my TV I play Pandora or music that I have on my tablet & phone. My whole house is Samsung products and will be getting more as they come out. I am in the process of getting another speaker (black one this time) and place it in my entertainment center that I have and us it for the TV and also music. The white one that I have will be installed in my bedroom and will use it there for my TV and also music. After all is said and done I will be getting and having about 6 of these speakers in total.
I will use them in each of the bedrooms for sound on the TV and also for music. It will be nice to walk around the house and choose the speaker in the room that I am in. I wish that they would make one of these type of speakers to be weather proof so I could install them outside.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The sound level did not go high enough for our area with animals, trains, plans and traffic noise Returned product and bought the HW 550 Sound bar. Loved the volume and sound it gave however, am having a problem with sound just shutting off. Have to unplug sound bar and tv, then plug tv back in and have sound. leave bar unplugged awhile and then plug in. Technician is working on the situation and getting parts to fix. Like the 1 remote does it all.......
