We replaced an ancient HP printer and an elderly Epson scanner with this printer specifically because it has the Instant ink option. The document printing quality is excellent. The scanner has a few quirks. We frequently scan receipts for reimbursement and this tool picks up each part of the document as a separate piece instead of the entire paper. We might get an image of a barcode and a logo which we need to delete before saving a complete copy. I imagine this is to allow the scanner to separate multiple photos or documents that are being scanned.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Printer Except For...

The printer is excellent except for a minor problem with the Control Panel. The hot spot for the setup is not in the rectangle for setup. It is below and to the right of the rectangle. Otherwise it is an excellent printer and scanner.

There are so many more features than my previous printer that it is going to take me awhile to try them all out. Much nicer than I'm used to. So glad I bought this model. I am now able to print from my phone, laptop, computer and iPad.

I truly LOVE my Envy printer/scanner! I had NO problems installing it and it has been working BETTER then ALL the other printers I have ever purchased in the past, including other HP printers!

Printer is good looking but erratic

When the printer works, it works well, but it has an annoying habit of taking a nap once in a while, frequently when I print on both sides of a sheet of paper. The first page prints immediately, but the second page takes up to a minute before it prints.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
