adding GS728TPv2 to my range of Netgear switches

I had a number of Netgear switched GS724v4 and GS110TPP together with some Zyxel that were used for PoE VoIP phones. I had a requirement to replace the Zyxel switch and following a review of what was available picked the GS728TPv2. I checked the other reviews and some commented that this switch was noisy due to the fans. I bought two switches and sure enough one was noisy and the second one was fine. They were cabinet mounted so there ware no issues. I especially like the Netgear VLAN options and now with a mix of PoE and non PoE switches then I can have a common VLAN configuration across each. The value for money for a 24/28 port switch was good.

I recently bought a GS728TPv2 for a home network setup. I had looked a Ubiquiti but was so pleased with previous NETGEAR products and the look and feel offered by the insight app that I decided to give this unit a try. It has performed flawlessly for streaming multiple AppleTV 4K devices and has reduced the strain on our home WiFi. Plus you can’t beat the lifetime warranty and service offered with the unit. Setup was easy, and the insight app has already notified me of firmware updates, which is nice know that the ongoing support is being rolled out to end users.

Great switch

I was able to get my switch upgraded to the newest firmware with no issues. The configuration of the switch was straight forward and it's running properly. This is a good product with a great price.

Great product with a lot of options

Great value and lots of options and configurations. Unfortunately there are not that many videos online, but at least there is documentation to configure these.

Feature rich switch

Great switch with loads of potential. Love the cloud managed insight feature. Highly recommend a switch for business applications needing POE. I am using two in a business environment. One is running the computer network with POE access points. The other is handling their VoIP telephone system.
