We have had our Roku for awhile I looked at them and after research decide to buy 1 to try..WE ARE SOOO HAPPY WE DID TO!!

Needs better access to local news, etc.

We've been using this for the last few months and overall it's pretty good. While we use Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Prime and a couple of other premium items, but it often feels like "huh, this channel should be one that I can just buy". For example, Disney and all of it's little offshoot channels; you can only get them if you are already a cable subscriber. If I've got cable, I don't need or want ROKU, right? Just let me pay you to subscribe to the channel... But, on the up side, we really have cut down on watching TV this way. Also, we're on track to save almost $1200 for the year just using this service. That alone is really worth it.

I have two of the original Roku units and they have been great. They only upgrade so far and can't do many things this unit does. I particularly like being able to put earphones into the remote so I don't wake up my wife early in the morning. I only wish it had a USB port. I use Plex with this unit and Plex shows a lot of what is on my computer but by no means all. If I want to use USB I use the original.

Love This Device

I finally decided it was time to give up cable and wanted an easy to use video streaming device. This fits the bill. It was so easy to install and it's just as easy to use. It has lots of "channel" options as well. If I had known it was this simple, I would have cut the cable cord a long time ago.

Worth every penny

I bought one for my mother-in-law as a Christmas present. Now I don't see her anymore because she's always watching her Roku. I immediately went out and bought two more for our own home and said goodbye to cable TV's high monthly charges. I love my Rokus!

I purchased another Roku 2 ....I think there needs to be one with every T.V. in the home..This is a fantastic streamer, and you can go online and retrieve free apps with all sorts of movies...Gets a 10+.....
