I have used Roku for several years, this is the best one yet, what i like is when theres a power failure you do not need to completely reprogram the entire unit, i think thats called memory retention, GREAT, i have intentions of getting a 3 soon. I have a Apple TV also which i i enjoy very much, there are times i prefer the format of the Roku to the format of the Aapple TV, personal preference. I do recommend the Roku to anyone who is looking for a good source of TV and want to decide for them selve what shows and or reruns they wish to view and not have the choices made for them.

great streaming video

I got this to replace the streaming video characterists of the original Wii and for that purpose Roku is better. The selection of nNetflix and other streaming video providers is quite better than the Wii.

Big Money Saver

After years of paying too much for satellite tv I switched to Roku and have never looked back. Adding Netflix & Hulu plus gives me all the same channels we use to watch and costs $50 less a month. I can't say enough good about this product.
I do recommend you place something like a metal drink coaster under the unit as it does get warm but that is no biggie.

Just the free content is unbelievable

I bought this unit for our bedroom tv as I have a Roku 3 in our den. I was hesitant to buy the first unit as I had purchased two Sony streaming units a couple of years back and was very disappointed in the content and performace. The Roku units are light years ahead of anything I hd tried. I would definitely buy both these units again.

Well-made product with plenty of channels. It works just fine in my home. I have Netflix and Prime subscriptions, so this provides more than enough content for me.

Easy to Install

We've had the Roku 2 for two weeks. It was very easy to install. Just take it one step at a time. Hardest was to figuring out how to get Roku on TV settings. Very basic installation. Remote is very easy to use. Fun to explore channels. Love listening to Pandora radio on TV, away from the computer. I am on the Hulu 2 month free trial. Currently watching 8-series TV special. When returning the next night to watch a new episode, Roku takes you to when you watched last. Comcast On Demand has the same series, but not all episodes, and does not list Series/Episode numbers on selection page. Just an example. I would not be interested in most movies on Hulu. More channels to explore. Will join Acorn TV as this is where our interests lie. Hoped there would be more streaming on MHz mystery channel, as local cable station dropped this excellent international mystery series. So, in closing--Roku great!
