ROKU ROCKS!

I love my Roku! I tend to stay on Pandora and Netflix only because I often forget about all of the options and access to ENDLESS channels, shows and movies! Amazon Prime and A&E are also faves. Having an earphone plug on the remote with volume control is great so I can watch while others read. The earphone option is what made me buy my Roku. I had no idea of all of its capabilities! BONUS! I also downloaded the Roku app so I can use my Galaxy as a Roku remote! I love my Roku!

Love my Roku 2 - still could be better

I purchased the unit at the end of May and have very much enjoyed watching movies using NetFlix. I have also used the free services available on the Roku 2. Unfortunately much of the free channels are previews or one or two shows of a series just enough to frustrate you that there aren't more. There is very limited access to free sites like YouTube.
I wished the World Wide Web was accessible through the Roku. Much of the "Free" Channels are really preview only paid sites. That said I still enjoy the Roku 2.
As an Electronic Engineer I have seen that the unit runs quite hot. The unit has on multiple occasions over heated and rebooted. While that much heat will shorten the life of the unit, How much though? I've stood the unit on its side to allow maximum airflow and cooling and the unit has yet to repeat the failure since doing so. I have noticed many similar comments on various blogs. The excess heat may be a function of the silicon drawing excessive current. Not sure if all the units are the same or mine is just marginal.

This product has provided me with effortless program watching and a great selection of shows to choose from. I spend more time watching Roku than I do my satellite tv programs.

I love my roku!!!! My daughter was always telling me i needed to get one and i would love it! I finally did. Now in the evening, at the end of a busy day, its me and my roku!!!! I am able to get acorn! !!! So many of my shows from Canada and British!!!
