My mom bought this so that I could stream Netflix to a TV and for that it is adequate. It's kind of a pain to use as I cannot figure out how to search for anything within Netflix with the remote; instead I have to have whatever I want to watch already in my streaming queue (added on my computer) which I find irritating. It also does not play the next episode automatically which can get annoying when I am marathoning a show that has episodes that only last for 10-23 minutes and I keep having to fiddle with the remote. The round bottom of said remote is also a pain--makes it hard to lie flat and can roll all over the place. This product is OK as it does allow me to stream Netflix to my TV, but a good soundbar can do much the same job and do it more efficiently than the Roku2.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought to replace an Apple TV device.

This is my 3rd Roku streaming device and I bought it to replace an Apple TV device because Apple TV wouldn't stream Amazon on demand. The Roku channel store also offers many more channels than the Apple TV device did. My only complaint is sometimes the device switches to 480P streaming on a 1080P TV. When this happens, every few weeks, I have to go to settings, switch to 720P and then switch back to 1080P. I don't know if this is a common problem or not but it does happen on occasion.

Awesome!!! Great Product!! Bought mine about 6-8 Months ago, I absolutely LOVE IT!! Works perfectly every time, and provides more programming than you can watch in a life time.

We really are enjoying the switch from our current stuff to the Roku. We are able to find shows our kids want to watch no matter the time of day like with Satellite or Cable. It is has been a great option for us!!

Needs to Improve in connectivity and performance

I brought this item hoping it would solve my cause of watching youtube over a TV. It took them 4 months to get youtube to Roku as i use Roku 2. While roku 3 got it way in advance.Kind of impressed but not really. It isn't seamless and transition is not that great from an app to the other.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
