My family loves the the ROKU. I purchased two more as Christmas gifts and they loved it also. I was able to cancel my paid premium cable channels. Hopefully my other cable shows will be streamed so I can cut the cord! We watch everyday and I will be ordering two more devices!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I pay $40 for cable. I thought Roku would save me money but all it does is aggregate expensive Internet-based content providers. No where was in clear in Roku's description that you buy the $70 box and then you have to buy or subscribe to almost all of the content. (Roku website: "While we don’t charge a monthly subscription, some of our partners do.") Some? Try nearly all.

I am one of those original 1st generator owners and active users. I got my Roku 2 the weekend after it first became available. It was truly love at first sight. But it is not just the device you choose, but the other tremendous feature is the Roku Support people. These experts know anything and everything Roku and will do their best to help you. I think of them and their actions as insurance and peace of mind keepers. They are truely super heros ready and able to defend your Roku without hesitation. So to the Roku 3 Superheros I say big thanks!

I bought mine a few months ago, it worked fine for approx. 3 months and then no longer "found" me wifi. It's now useless.

I received my Roku 2, as a belated bday gift and I absolutely love it. Cable is so overrated. I think everyone should own a Roku. My favorite feature is the earplugs that can be plugged into the remote. Coolest thing since sliced bread. Thanks a bunch ASF!!!

Disappointing followup to original

Bought the first roku years ago and it is still working like a champ and never had a problem. Wanting another for the headphone option and to add to another tv, bought the Roku 2 and have had numerous problems with remote, stops working and take forever to reset, reset, and reset until it finally re- pairs with the unit. Maybe just a bad remote, but it is a headache as I've only had it about two weeks and it has suddenly quit working at least 5 times. I have never had a problem with the original Roku, so am really disappointed that the new one has this bug.

Not Worth The Aggravation....

I recently bought the Roku 2 and Roku 3. While Roku 3 works great in my living room, the Roku 2 which I use in my bedroom would NOT connect to the wi-fi after repeated reconnects. The programs I would watch would freeze and stop altogether or in the middle of a movie the movie would suddenly stop. I figured I could save some money by switching to this streaming service but instead have found a substandard product with NO explanations as to how to fix a problem. I would pick a program to watch and all Roku would do is load program repeatedly with ZERO for the end result. If I could go below one star I would give it half stars when it comes to the value and overall rating.
