Neat device, but...

I'm enjoying my Roku 2, but I wish it had the capability to play recent network TV shows. I can get them on my computer by going to the network's website, but not via Roku.

Amazing picture quality!

I have been using the new Roku 2 for about 3 weeks now. I also have the older Roku in my bedroom. Setup on Roku is always such a breeze! The picture quality on this new Roku is amazing. I used the new and older Rokus on the same T.V. and with the new one, the picture is crisp, clear and sharp. I thought only the TV made a difference, but was surprised to see that the Roku could matter to picture quality. The headphone jack is a really cool feature and with the wife asleep, I can watch without disturbing her...my only concern is I don't wake her up when I laugh hard on the comedy channels. I simply love the fact that the channel selection is so vast and varied...Netflix is most watched for sure, but I also listen to Pandora, watch movies on Epix, and more. I cut the cord with this Roku and the kids watch about 100-120gb worth of TV this month!

I bought the Roku 2 to replace a bluray player that was very slow. It worked great at first, was very fast at selecting channels, movies etc. Used mostly for Netflix. Now, after a little over a year this thing drops Wi-Fi signals faster that people drop new years resolutions!!! Very frustrating. I've tried different locations for it and even replaced the router. I can sit farther away from the router with my laptop and never lose a signal while the Roku continues to tell me it can't connect to the network.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Has everything I need except YouTube

I've had the Roku 2 for less than a year and I must say that it has served my family's needs fairly well. The only thing missing is a YouTube channel. Frustrated that I have to wait for unknown number of months to see if this will actually be added and how well it will work. The workaround solutions to viewing video content from YouTube are less than stellar. Only Twonky came close, but only allowed for viewing 1 video before the whole setup quit working.

Gives a cheaper alternative for entertainment, good when there is nothing else on. Can find a lot of hidden gems.

Great way to watch my programs

I've had two Roku's for 2 years and love them. I get all my programs without having to pay the high price for satellite. Greatest invention yet

Got this as a gift & it's great, use it several times a week if not every day. It has games, history & A&E channels & netflix & pandora.
