Best Invention Ever

I purchased two Roku2 units. Easy setup and have not had one problem with them. One unit is really far from my Wifi and I still get the same power as the one in the living room. I have program no loading problems. I just love it and there are so many channels to view and watch, plus the movie channels. I like it when you select a channel for "My Channels" on one Ruko unit it will show up on the second unit without having to load it twice. I will never have Dishnetwork in my home again - what a waste. I like the private channels also. There is really some amazing TV out there through Roku. I would highly recommend Roku. Ruko has opened up a new world in TV for me. Glad I don't have to watch the same thing over and over on my TV from the major networks. Watching TV is enjoyable now.

My family has enjoyed great and consistent quality with both of our Roku units. Yes, we were so satisfied with the performance of our first one, that we got the newest unit (at the time) for another TV! Keep up the great work, Roku!

Waste of money

I'm sure this won't even get posted but I at least a representative finds it.
I'd like to start by mentioning that I've never written a negative review until now. I'm usually the type of person that goes out of their way to compliment products or services. I'm afraid I can't do that here. The ROKU 2 is the biggest waste of money I've ever spent! I first bought and hooked up the ROKU. About 2 months later it turned into a giant glitch. It freezes every 10-15 minutes and resets itself to the homepage. This literally happens every time!!!
I've read multiple reviews where this is the case for HUNDREDS of people. And just think of the people not wasting the time to write a review who just throw the thing out.
I won't waste my time calling customer service because based on so many of those reviews, it's a joke. They'll blame it on you and your internet connection. But guess what! It's the same connection with the same speed as when the ROKU was first performing properly. And it the same connection that handles my laptop, cell phone, and iPad that I'm using to write this review. I've literally turned off every other device that could possibly pull from the same connection and the ROKU still malfunctions. What's worse is when you go to the network screen on the ROKU, is too says there is and "excellent" connection. Then what is the problem??
Do not buy. Waste of money.

I bought a Roku 2 6 months ago and it died on me last week. The longevity or lack thereof is the only reason I rank this one star.

When I purchased my Roku a couple years ago, I never thought I would love it as much as I do today. I never thought that I would enjoy it and use as much as I do today. Since I got rid of cable, I mainly watch all of my favorite tv shows through Hulu Plus and watch so many movie through Netflix. I enjoy the fact that I have Pandora on this as well since sometimes it is so very nice just to sit down and listen to some music. They are so many channels available and I am just starting to unlock all of this interesting channels. I also enjoy that if I want to I can add games to my player since the version of the system I got came with Angry Birds. I would say that everyone who has cable or satellite and who can't have anything in a bedroom or den should think about getting one of these so that you will be to still watch something or listen to music or play games if you get the version that I got.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Dang thing keeps quitting

Purchased and remote quit immediately, have had to call customer service twice. Customer service is very competent and that's why they are getting two stars and not a goose egg.

I decided to get the ROKU 2 because my cable bill was starting to get outrageously high. So glad I invested in this product. It was easy to install and works great.
